Lovin' a Good Ol' Boyby Mary Kay McComas
Big city girl Anne Hunnicut is in Webster, Kentucky for one reason: to shut down the textile mill. When her rental car breaks down in the backwoods, the last person she expected to come to her rescue was rugged country boy Buck LaSalle–the ringleader of the union workers determined to keep the mill open and the town alive and prosperous.
Sparks fly between Anne and Buck, but is the issue of the mill closing going to stand between them? Anne’s desire for a home spurs an understanding and empathy for Buck and the people of Webster, but questions whether it’s enough to give up her big city career ambitions. Can an urban girl find love, security, and new aspirations for her life with a small town guy?

Meet the Author
Mary Kay McComas was raised in the Great Pacific Northwest city of Spokane, Washington. Third of six children. Mary Kay went to college, and for ten years after that she worked as an intensive care nurse in a hospital. Then she met her future husband, a lawyer, and her Prince Charming. The couple moved to the Shenandoah Valley in Northern Virginia, and raised four wonderful children. After Mary Kay's children came along she didn't think things could get any better. But guess what, they did! On a dare from her husband to "write a better novel than that," Mary Kay took a stab at writing something longer than a letter and more fun than a college term paper. It was not Mary Kay's intention to start a third career as a writer. However, as luck would have it, she was fortunate enough to find an encouraging agent and helpful, supportive editors. She hopes her stories will bring a little happiness into your life!

WOW! Loved this book!!! Had me from the first few pages! This book has a rhythm all its own, once you get it you won't put the book down! Mary Kay McComas has been added to my list of favorite authors. She took me right to Webster, Kentucky and I wanted to buy a house and stay. Fell in love with 'Good Ol' Boy' Buck and Anne. Their dialog is captivating, clever, flirty and fun. "I'm fixin' to" indeed!!! The story line is good even if it took a backseat to what was going on between Anne and Buck. I will definitely reread this little tale again and again just for the sheer joy of it!! I've already purchased the followup book and can't wait to read it!
I could only read about ten pages and then removed it from my reading list! Do not waste any money on this book, I had read one other by this author that was bad, thought I would give her another try. Wont try anymore.
