I have tried many churches in my life time, but very few fit my needs. I felt talked down to, instead of talked to. I found myself in tears leaving many times because I felt judged by the other members. That is why I am thankful for this book. It strikes to the heart of what it means to be a Christian but can't quite connect with a church to fulfill what God expects of you. Read it. I'd also recommend that you read When God Stopped Keeping Score, which is an amazing look at the power of God and forgiveness. I love it. You will too.

As I was reading this book, I had discovered that a lot of what the author was talking about I had experienced. This is truly a fantastic book to read.
