Wow this book had such an exciting plot It all started when Luca had been attacked and abducted while safe guarding Samantha, who was going to the witches coven for the training of her newly gained skill.
Samantha having reluctantly spent time with the witches, but couldn't seem to connect with her powers, decided to leave. Needing some time to get her head around everything that had happened to her, she just wanted her normal life back. A retreat in the mountains seemed ideal.
Luca was rescued and realising Samantha maybe in danger, he is now on a mission to bring her back, for her her own good, of cause. Nothing at all to do with him wanting to see her again and protect her. Under attack again as the cabin is set alight, but who is out to get her this time ? that is the question.
Lots of twists and turns in this thrilling story as the pair have to battle at times to stay alive and solve the mystery. Their instant attraction heats and takes them both to new heights of pleasure, and through it all the deepest love blooms.
I would highly recommend this series, and I can't wait to start the next book.

Luca's Magic Embrace will have you hooked Luca Macquarie is Vam

Luca's Magic Embrace will have you hooked

Luca Macquarie is Vampire to his very core, he is powerful and is known to be brutally cold. Luca has stood at his maker and best friend Kade's side for two centuries and will protect his own with his life.

Samantha Livingston is a 'white hacker' someone who tries legally to break into systems to help companies protect their information, that is until she is kidnapped. Samantha is enthralled and is pretending to be someone she isn't and she has no knowledge or control over it.

Samantha is rescued by Luca and Kade when they go to the place she is to help Sydney (Kade's mate). Samantha cannot remember anything and is disgusted when Kade shows her pictures of what had happened, she is also told she is a witch it becomes too much for her to take in when all she really wants is her life back. Luca is charged with protecting Samantha and going with the witches to provide safe passage to the coven. Samantha and Ilsbeth both made it back safely however Luca has been taken and Kade is determined to find him he just needs Luca to give him a sign.

When Luca is rescued and his strength returns he has only one thought 'Samantha' he realises he wasn't the target she was and he is not sure why but he feels compelled to keep her safe. When he finds out she has moved out of the coven and back to Philadelphia he is determined to get her and bring her back. Samantha however moved back to Philly to get back to her everyday life and leave all that has happened behind her. Luca will need to brace himself for what is ahead and come full circle with what Samantha truly is to him if he is to keep both of them alive.

Can Luca convince Samantha to return to New Orleans with him of her own free will and can Samantha trust Luca enough to allow him to protect her and find out what is really happening???

This book follows Luca and Samantha. Luca is a cold, honorable, strong vampire who is determined to never fall in love. Samantha is a recently turned witch who has a surprising ability to bounce back when beaten down.

Again, the author doesn't disappoint. Luca's Magic Embrace, though the title sounds like something off a children's book, keeps you engaged the whole way. Samantha is stubborn and a little in denial, but she's surprisingly strong. She's an average woman dumped into a nightmare situation. She just wants her life back. She feels real. Luca, like Samantha, is completely in denial, albeit of something entirely different.

The tone of this book is different than Kade's Dark Embrace and there isn't the same attitude. Still, the mystery and the adventure in the book is there, the whodunit. Someone is after Luca and Samantha and they need to figure out who and why. There will be twists and at times my heart was in my throat, worried for the characters.

And like with Kade's Dark Embrace, I found myself itching for the next book.

Couldn't wait for this book to become available after Kade & Sydney's book. I think Kym has a gift and really enjoyed Luca with Samantha.. He tried to deny Her but couldn't and their storyline was excellent although a few times Ilsbeth torked me off. Yes, she is a powerful witch, she just aggravated me a bit. Other than that loved it immensely!!!!GO KYM!

Let me call it now...I love this series! Luca's Magic Embrace is the second book and between the vampires, wolves, intrigue and romance, I can't put this book or this series down. Ms. Grosso catches my eye with her covers, drawns me in with her blurbs and captivates me with her stories.

Another 4-star rating for Ms. Kym Grosso. Really what works for me despite this being a series, each book works well as a stand-alone. All the characters are whether they are the MC or secondary are covered so well in depth you can help but feel they are all MC. I think what made Luca and Samamtha's story so special is he isn't an Alpha or a Master. He's not the boss and she's not the head/lead/in charge female character. They are both secondaries made into primaries without losing their secondary statuses. I know that may not mean a lot to other readers, but to me it's like the camera changed focus to two other people in the story without unrealistically bumping up their status.Really I like Luca and Samantha. I found them both to be very sweet characters. The only thing that drove me nuts about this whole book was while it starts with the characters from the previous book, about a quarter in POOF they disappeared. I would have preferred they at least carry through the whole book a bit more. Other than that, this was a fairly solid book.

The heat of Luca's Magic Embrace comes in at a 3.5 but since we can't do halves I'll bump it up to 4-Flames. Not that this book isn't any more sizzling hot the the first title, but because it has some extra's that were not in Kade's Dark Embrace. Mainly there's a little bit of BDSM, some back door action. And oh yeah, there may be a bit of a threesome. I won't go into details so I don't slip up and add a spoiler but let's just say at one point you do find a little M/F/M action.

Second book in I can safely call the Immortals of New Orleans series definitely a winner. I am loving this series and all it characters so much. Technically I should be reading Tristan's Lyceum Wolves next but I read it several months ago. So now I have to choose between re-reading it or hopping to the fourth book. Decisions, Decisions. One thing I don't have a problem with is recommending Luca's Magic Embrace. So...read it!

I received this book from JeepDiva for the express purposes of an honest review. The opinions and rating of this review are solely mine and in no way was I compensated.

    Kym does it agian!
I just love Luca and Samantha's story!<3 I couldn't stop reading until the very end!
Luca never wanted to fall in Love, let alone with a human nor witch! Until he meets Samantha..
Samantha lived quite a normal life, until one night out with the girls led her to being kidnapped & turned into a pretty bada$$ witch.
Just when she thinks her life can have some normalcy again, someone else is out to get her & Luca Desides it's his duty to keep her safe.
Once together, Luca and Samantha can't seem to get enough of eachother!

There are some deliciously sexy scenes, along with a couple great fighting scenes mixed in!
&lets not forget the wonderful surprise at the end!! :)

Kade is hot....Luca is HOTTER! Luca is Kade's best friend and protege. He refuses to love again, especially not a human. So you know what the means, right? He will fall in love with one. Boy, does he fall in ove, and he falls hard. Sam is Luca's match in every way. Someone who needs to be taken care but yet she can stand on her own and take care of him when needed. These two are my favorite couple so far and I have only read 2 books in this series....Kym draws you in with her characters and writing in a way that will have you losing sleep to finish the novel. Again, like I said with book one, I will continue with book 2. One click this...NOW!!!! Kade and Luca say so!!! :)
