Overview

Pandora Ann Phillips’ life is just normal-crazy.

Her mom’s psychic, her dad’s mom is a snob, her mom’s parental units are ‘too down to earth’ and her best friends are newlyweds. Okay, so her best friends being newlyweds isn’t really abnormal, but living with them in a cramped two-bedroom apartment definitely is. Sex, sex, sex, is totally on their brains. Actually, it’s not only on their brains, but it’s on the kitchen table, couch, on top of the washer…well, you get the picture.

Being a celibate (not by choice, mind you) full-time college student, and working as an almost full-time barista, Pandora can’t afford to lose anymore sleep. So, she decides to seek out a new place to lay her head. Enter three ‘drool worthy’ male models that are looking for a fourth roommate, and they want her…and won’t take no for an answer.

Romantic hilarity ensues as Pandora’s life turns completely upside down, and she begins to wonder if it will ever be the same again!

Meet the Author

Amanda Jason is the pen name for Carol Kunz’s New Adult romance novels. She is the C part of the mother and son author duo, C.A. Kunz. The pen name Amanda Jason actually has a special meaning to Carol because it is a tribute to the set of twins she lost many years ago. Carol began her dream of writing when her son, Adam, asked her to write a young adult fantasy novel back in 2011. She couldn’t have been happier to embark on this wonderful journey into the literary world with her son because it was #1 on her bucket list.

Carol currently lives in sunny Florida with her hubby and her two four-legged fur babies. She takes comfort in the fact that her amazing daughter and son live close by. When she isn’t writing, you can find her walking her yellow Lab or reading a good book. Lucky Number four is the debut novel of Amanda Jason, and it’s been a long time coming.

Amanda Jason (aka Carol Kunz) has astounded me with her debut novel! Lucky Number Four follows Pandora (Dora) as her normal, boring life gets a makeover in the finest fashion. When her two best friends (and roommates) get married, Dora realizes she needs to move out. She finds an ad on the grocery store bulletin board and figures, "What the heck". She is in for a surprise, when she finds the loft apartment to be occupied by 3 famous male models. And what's more, they want HER to be their "Lucky Number Four" roommate and won't stop until she agrees. Mystery and Romance and Hilarity are found throughout this fun loving story! I love this book and have read it twice!! Grab your copy, you aren't going to want to miss this!!

I normally don't read Romance. I just don't like it. I took a chance with this one and I am so glad that I did. Lucky Number Four is such a sweet romance. I loved every minute. I actually stayed up til 4 am one night and 2 the following just so I could finish it and find out what happens next. Great read, great writing, sweet characters. Loved it!

It had the opportunity to be awesome but fell short. There was a lot that was not explained or left vague. There is a little paranormal undertone and in the "guy point of view" paragraphs it seems like there is something paranormal going on with him but nothing is ever explained. I get the idea the author was expressing a "normal" girl with 3 beautiful model roommates. Seriously, it was crammed down our throats! It felt like everytime Pandora opened her mouth she rambled on about her being a plain, boring, normal, curly red haired, short girl. Everyone had to rush to reassure her how beautiful she is, even as they were telling her she was fishing for compliments. Again, I understand what the author was trying to do but it was too much. It just made the lead character "annoying girl" After the whole book being Pandora insecurities, suddenly it wrapped up into a HEA.

My review: I adored the plot and the whole idea of this story! It was sweet, funny and fresh and well-written book and it was a pure joy reading it! Plot Lucky Number Four introduces you to Pandora who is looking for a new place to live. Her best friends have just gotten married and Pandora wants to give them more space to explore the lives as newlyweds. She sees an ad for a rental apartment and she calls. The meeting with her new potential roommates changes her life. It's a hilarious situation where many girls would love to end up with. She finds out, that her new roommates would be 3 gorgeous world famous male models and she doesn't want it! The three "modelteers" do not give up that easily. They convince Dora that this place is exactly what she needs and what's more important she is what they need. Besides that, Liam, Colin and Drew have already organized her moving in. She is annoyed and furious about it. This is how her journey starts. Being a girl who is down to earth and not used to living a glamorous life, she finds it very difficult to be around these three models. She gets used to her surroundings though. Her self-esteem suffers a little, but the guys love her honesty and the fact that she is used to different life. Soon she starts fancy two of her roommates, but she can't figure it out who is it going to be. It's not a usual triangle, not at all, it's just what is going on in Dora's head while she is thinking. I loved that the book was written from two different points of views. The biggest part of the book is written from Dora's view, but there is another mysterious story teller. You don't find out who the secret admirer of Dora is until the very end of the book. I found that very appealing and it made the book suspenseful. I loved it. The story is very well-written, it was funny, filled with awkward and cute situations which Dora is facing. I laughed a lot while reading! It's a real gem. Characters: I loved Dora! She is as cute and down to earth as they come. I loved reading her thoughts, dreams and fantasies. She is sweet as a peach, but can solidly stand her grounds. What is there not to love about Drew, Colin and Liam? They are nice, gorgeous and very different from each other. Drew is the cocky one, Liam the quiet one and Colin the charming one. They were really sweet to Dora and I loved how they treated her. I really had difficulties for guessing which one of them was pining for Dora. There were other great characters in the book: Dora's psychic mother, Dora's study buddy and friends - they all leave their mark in the story and bring a lot of fun as well! Generally: I savoured this book! As said previously it's a gem, Lucky Number Four is a book which makes you feel good, filling you with lots of positive emotions and giving you lots of giggles. It's sincerely written and trust me when I am saying that you don't want to miss it! You will love it!

Main character self-depricates. Gets frustrated. Friends tell her she's pretty. Lather, rinse, repeat. This story had great potential. But due to lack of detail and repetitiveness, this story is far from interesting.

Amanda Jason (aka Carol Kunz) is the author to watch for in 2014. Lucky Number Four is AMAZING! Pandora, or Dora as she is known by her friends and roommates is a refreshing change because all she wants is a normal life. She gets sick of her living situation and on the off chance founds a notice for someone seeking fourth roommate. Little does Dora realize that boring and average doesn't come in fours especially not when 3 out of the 4 are smokin hot male models!. Lucky Number Four is wonderfully written and will grab your heart and keep you in suspense waiting to found out .....??????......well I won't tell! You will just have to buy the book! It's an amazing read and the characters stayed with me so much that I had to read it again the same day! Amanda Jason's premiere novel knocks it out of the ball park with Lucky Number Four! Go get your copy today1!!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVED this book.  I seriously could not put it down and was up all night reading it.  Not in the "I am exaggerating and was up past my bedtime" sense, but in the "Holy Cow!  I need to be up in 30 minutes" I really stayed up all night way.  I am going to try really hard to not give any spoilers away, so some of the things I loved about this book are going to be left out, but here are some things I loved about this book: *I loved Pandora.  She cracked me up. I seriously almost spit out my tea when I read the first chapter.  It was hysterical! *OK, some of you have read the synopsis and thought, "Come On. That could never happen".  Exactly, that is why it was so flippin' great! *Liam.  Yep, that is all you are getting from me, but trust me Liam is awesome.  Actually, I wrote the author and thanked her for writing the character of Liam.   *The little bit of paranormal that ran through this was just enough to tickle my fancy, yet subtle enough for me to call this a NA contemporary.  It is not often I have seen an author able to keep that balance.  Filled me with the happy. *I love NA and read a ton of it and lately it has all been very heavy.  Character A is broken from a horrid past and character B is just as broken until.....  None of that here.  This is a fun NA Romantic Comedy.  I was so excited to read NA fiction this fun and funny... ok and yes, hot. *Did I mention hot male models?  Oh yeah!!!!!!  Oh and the loft.  I want one!!!! If you are looking for an NA read that is fun and funny and has some super hotties, then snag this bad boy and get reading.  Be forewarned, you will not want to stop reading it once you start.

I enjoyed this book and thought it was really cute though a little unbelieveable - though most romance books are. It dragged it spots but it made me stay up way past my bedtime to finish it - reading it within four hours. Worth the 99cents I paid and more!

I had the pleasure of reading an early release of Lucky Number Four, and loved it so much that I purchased it for my Kindle the moment it came available. There were so many parts in this book that made me laugh, and I really appreciated the fact that it kept me guessing. I'm a reader who can suspend my disbelief, so the reviews about this story being "unbelievable" didn't impact me in the least! The story was tons of fun, and I loved joining Pandora and her hot model roommates, wishing all the while I was there in person. If you enjoy quirky, schmexy characters and plots with as many LOL moments as steamy ones, don't hesitate to snap this book up!

I am a self-proclaimed NA/YA bookworm. I read loads of these genres of books for breakfast-lunch-dinner, appetizer and dessert included. So trust me when I say Amanda Jason was able to stand out among all the similar love stories NA/YA has to offer. Lucky Number Four was able to bring a refreshing outlook on the boy meets girl scenario. She has made me fall in love with the ordinary Red, the extraordinarily handsome roomies, her lifsaver best friends, and the craziest of next of kins. The way the author is able to interject random points of view kept me on the edge of my seat. Keeping me guessing on who it could be. The struggle and heartaches were real. This book is definitely short, sweet, and totally memorable with a HEA.

I don't know what some people are on about that this book is boring or weird or paranormal. In the beginning the main character did keep saying she was a plain jane and going on about how she thought she wasn't pretty but seriously...so would every woman who moved in with 3 international famous male models. I know I would not think I was up to par. Especially if I had feelings for one of them and they were known for dating other model women. Even though she did go on about her appearance a lot in the beginning, her character developed as the story progressed and she left that part behind. I LOVED the story. Stayed up until 5:30 this morning reading it, safe to say I was tired at work but well worth it. well worth the read. I hope there's more to their story!!!!

I really enjoyed Lucky Number Four. Unfortunately, I did find some parts pretty cheesy, but I still liked it as a whole. The characters were really well developed and I could easily tell what character was talking. I could even  hear their voices in my head and had to double check while writing this review that I didn't listen to an audio version. Pandora was a great main character, and she didn't portray a "perfect" girl. Pandora had her flaws and owned them. I really enjoyed the ending and even teared up a little. The story is a little cheesy and corny towards the end, but I do enjoy that kind of thing.

OMG - this was such a great book!! It was hilarious from beginning to end and I just adore all the characters! Dora is such a typical low-key girl who doesn't want a lot of drama in her life. HA! Wait till you meet your family! Her mom is a psychic with a spiritual guide and her grandmas are complete opposites but both equally embarrassing, and very entertaining! (I just loved the grandmas!) Then there's her three new roommates, all of which happen to be mouthwatering male models with sexy accents, rock-hard abs, and crazy lifestyles. It's so NOT low-key. And I can't tell you how much I enjoyed reading as Dora tried to find her place among all the craziness without losing her own mind. I had tears of sadness, tears of joy, and mostly tears from laughing so hard my face hurt! This is one of those books that I just sped through and I know I will read again and again!
