Overview

One locked safe, a troublemaking tattoo, and two determined people… add up to unlocked secrets and a love that just won’t stop.

Luke “Lucky” O’Conner is a committed bachelor. His motto…“Nobody’s getting this Lucky.” So when Kaley Harlow walks into his tattoo shop and somehow leaves with the only record of the numbers to his new safe tattooed on her sexy little hip, Lucky’s motto is threatened. If he wants to see those numbers again, he has to get close. Closer than he’s ever gotten to any woman. And he has three weeks to do it.

Kaley Harlow, a happily washed-up former child star, is out to ruin her reputation. She’s through with people looking at her like she’s still that innocent little girl in pigtails. Not to mention, her agent has just signed her up for a movie contract. But, really, all Kaley wants is to start a new life and finally go to college.

When Lucky happens into Kaley’s life for the second time, the hot, tattooed badass is exactly what she needs to sabotage her image. But this badass has a secret, one that could ruin more than just Kaley’s reputation.

I became a fan of Kelly Gendron when I read the first book in this series, Broken Fences, so when an opportunity came to read the third installment in this fabulous series, I jumped all over it. I even reread the other two books first. (Note: You don’t need to read the first two, but doing so will explain the supporting cast.)
Lucky owns a tattoo shop, has a troubled past and is one hot and sweet man. Kaley is an ex child star who wants to leave her perfect image of the good girl behind. In an attempt to rebel, she ends up in Lucky’s shop and in his chair, and although he can’t figure out why she would want to blemish such perfect skin, he ends up granting her wish, but hiding the numbers to his safe within the tattoo. Now he can’t remember the numbers and needs to find her to take a peek at her ink.
What follows is a sweet, hot, sexy romance. He doesn’t think he’s worthy and she doesn’t trust men. But regardless of their pasts, their hurts and their commitment to not be in a committed relationship, they can’t stay away from each other. What starts out as a game to tarnish Kaley’s image, ends up a romantic love affair.
I liked this story for a few reasons. I loved the fact that the characters really felt like a true family. They were fun and easy to embrace. There’s angst of course, and hot sex, but there’s also humor and sweet romance. This story has everything. I highly recommend it as a great way to spend a day.

Lucky is broken, he carries unbelievable guilt that weighs him down and allows him to lock his emotions up so that he doesn't get too close to anyone. He focuses on his artwork and building his tattoo business. Then one day Kaley ends up in his chair to shed her good girl image and she somehow cracks his well-constructed shell. Lucky can't stop thinking about her so he finds a way to "bump" into her again. Kaley has never been lit up from anyone like Lucky did to her. So when he suddenly appears in her life again she decides to be bold and see what can happen. The sparks and chemistry between Lucky and Kaley is amazing – they both seem to be able to see past the facades and find the true souls hiding within. Now, can they both let go of past hurts to embrace a future together? Can Lucky find it within himself to forgive himself so he can move on? Another wonderful read by Kelly Gendron – love the humor, angst, drama and all the incredible supporting characters. Marisa is a pistol but also the most loyal BFF ever!

Wow! Lucky Numbers is an amazing book. It was so well written I flew through it not realizing life was going on around me. Each
character had their rough back story and learning those just made Lucky and Kaley more lovable.  This book was also really hot.

I received a copy from the author to read and review for Wicked

I received a copy from the author to read and review for Wicked Reads, so here is my review. I loved this one more than the first two. Lucky is the best tattooed bad boy. He is all tough and mean looking on the outside with plenty of tattoos but Kaley sees the good man he is on the inside. When Lucky hears a commotion in the front of the shop, he writes down the numbers to the new safe he has just had installed. And he meets Kaley laying a recliner waiting to have her tattoo finished. But Lucky needs to remember the combination to the safe, and with nothing to write on and the only writing utensil he has is the tattoo gun, he inks the combination into her tattoo but no one can tell because the numbers look like birds. Lucky has the idea to meet up with her and seduce her so he can get the numbers, but he realizes that he can't do that. He is beginning to have feelings for her. And his motto "Nobody gets this Lucky" is slowly slipping away. So can he tell her the truth and get the combination? Will she understand what he has done? Can he get past his past and tell her his deepest darkest secret? This is the third in the series, Broken Fences and Favorite Places are just a great and I am looking forward to reading Finder Fees, book 4, hopefully it is coming out soon.

My Review 4.7 Star Review ¿ Lucky Numbers Lucky or Mr. Bad*ss

    My Review

4.7 Star Review – Lucky Numbers

Lucky or Mr. Bad*ss as some call him owns 2 tattoo shops. He is getting ready to open two more but has to remember the safe combination.

Kaley was in the process of getting a tattoo but Lucky has to finish it.

Where can he put the safe combination but within her tattoo. He does disguise it so no one else can see it.

He does also write it down but that paper gets tossed.

Now he must track down Kaley and somehow get a look at her tattoo.

Kaley needs help and Lucky is just the man for the job.

He is going to help her ruin her reputation while somehow getting those numbers.

    Sounds easy right?

Well not when the chemistry is off the charts.

How can you keep it a mission of just getting the numbers when you are falling for the girl?

Will the truth of what Lucky needs from Kaley come out?

Will Kaley want Lucky if she learns all his secrets?

Should Lucky have just called a lock smith in the beginning?

You will have to read the story to find out!!

Love Kelly's writing style. You can feel the emotions come off the pages of the story. She keeps you turning the pages until the very end!!

    I highly recommend this book.

4 ½ Steamy Stars from me!

“I promise, Kaley, that for as long as you need me, I will only be yours.”  He leaned forward and brushed his mouth against hers.  “Just as you’ll be only and all mine.”
    My Review:
Oh swoon, I don’t have any tattoos, nor does my husband.  However, I might consider one if Lucky worked nearby.  If I were young and single, this book might cause me to rush off to the nearest tattoo parlor in hopes of snagging me a tattooed hottie.  Ms. Gendron’s Luke O’Connor “Lucky” sounds just yummy, inside and out.  Our heroine, Kaley, wants to use him her plot to damage her goody-two-shoes reputation as she thinks he is a tatted up “badass.”  Tut, tut.  We should never judge a book by its cover.  Although he prefers to let others, as well as himself, think he is aloof, rough, and edgy; he is just a tender hearted softie who is quick to help others in need.  Ms. Gendron’s well written story aptly captures the tension, emotion, confusion, and passion of these two emotionally guarded characters as they try to deny, and avoid, having feelings for each other.  But we know that won’t work, we’ve seen this before, and after all, I chose to read it because it’s a love story.  But Ms. Gendron makes us work for it.  I liked all the characters and felt like I either knew them, or wanted to know them.  And when they finally get it together, it was oh so steamy, I had to wipe the fog from my glasses more than a few times. I had never read this author before, but will be delving into her listings to find my next treat, she seems to have whetted my appetite.

This was a new type of story for me.  I am now a Kelly Gendron fan!  This story is about Lucky and Kaley.  Lucky gives Kaley a tatoo, with his
lucky numbers that will enable him to get a loan from the bank to further his business.  They can't be seen as Lucky has hidden them in the
tatoo.  He also writes the numbers down, but his cousin in a cleaning spree, accidently throws them out.  He courts Kaley, as she wants
to give up her child star status, and being with a "badass" will do that.  Lucky wants to get the numbers back.  They fall in love, then Kaley
finds out about the numbers, and leaves him.  His guardian angel Fallon, also his twin brother helps Lucky and Kaley get back together.

    I really liked this book.
Lucky is holding on to a boat load of guilt. Guilt that eats at him and makes him believe he is NOT worthy of anyones love.
When Kaley happens to run across his path, he starts to really have feelings for her, and it confuses him and makes him want what he feels he should never be allowed to have.
Kaley has been hurt in the past and because of this, she doesn't trust easily. But she wants to trust Lucky and wants to have everything with Lucky that she has never had before.
The two of them together can make this happen, if they are both willing to work through it all together.
Awesome addition to this wonderful series, and I can't wait for more of it.

"Nobody’s getting this Lucky.” Doesn't that sound like an arrogant asshat that you want and need to avoid? Probably a guy so full of himself with self-love that there is no room in his heart or his life for anyone, let alone a woman that matters to him. Happily, Kelly Gendron totally disproves this!

I am thrilled to say that as I read I fell in lust with Lucky (or "badass" as Kayley and her friend think of him) and absolutely, completely in love with Luke. *sigh* Yes, technically they are the same character but there is so much more to "Luke" as he opens his life and his heart to Kayley without even realizing it at first. In fact, the more time he spends with Kayley, the original reason he had to contact her - to get the combo for his safe which is a pretty darn good reason to need to find someone - becomes inconsequential as he decides to do everything he can to help her shed her "good girl image". For her part, Kayley decides that she likes the person Lucky inspires her to be - he pushes her to express herself and set free the woman inside the good girl.

This is the third book in her Troublemaker series. I have read and enjoyed all three books with them getting better each time. I also love that while each book could be read as a stand alone there is a continuity between them that draws you deeper and deeper into this intriguing and hilarious family.

I am very much looking forward to Sloan's book, which is next! We met Sloan in book #1 but get to know her a little better in this book which perfectly sets up the intrigue for the next book!

I received an advanced e-copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

"Received and ARC for an honest review"

I read this in one sit. I really enjoyed it, it made me laugh and sad. It was my first book from Kelly Gendron and I'm sure that after this it certainly won't be the last.

Lucky had my heart the hole time. I can relate a bit about his guilt and how he faces his inner demons. I loved the way the author approached the whole situation. Kaley is a determined girl, who knows what she want and I was happy to see this. I would've been quite disappointed if she was a girl who doubted herself and struggles because of it with Lucky.

I can even say I would like to read more about Fallon, about his story. If you are looking for a quick stand alone I'll say go for it.

Lucky Number is the 3rd book in this series but can be read as a standalone. Lucky O’Connor has a problem, he just tattooed the combination of his safe on Kaley Harlow and needs to do whatever he can to get a look at those number. Kaley is a former child star and just wants to be normal and go to college. This is a great story, the characters are funny and we get to watch the chemistry grow as they interact together and they are very sexy together. Wonderful well round read, I plan on adding the first two books on my to be read list. This book was given to be for an honest review.

This book was really sweet but also frustrating! The characters are well defined, the story well written and it flows nicely throughout. Kaley wants to ruin her good girl image; Lucky has so much guilt he feels undeserving. Their journey together has ups and downs but also life lessons. The story keeps you guessing to the end and I enjoyed it very much.

Lucky Numbers is the 3rd book in the Trouble Maker series but hold your horses. No need to run out and purchase books 1&2 just yet so you can get yourself acquainted with the storyline as this delightful book is a true standalone. However after enjoying Lucky Numbers, you will want to read all of this superb writers' works. I fell enlove with her creative storyline centered around vibrant and interesting characters. The dialogue and layout was perfect and set the scene for an amazing read. Throughout this enthralling romance, the phrase  "Poetry in motion," often came to mind. I REALLY LIKE THIS BOOK!!!

Lucky,  Luke O'Conner is a sexy inked up tattoo parlor owner looking to expand his business with 2 additional shops. This hotty enjoys his singlehood and have no intentions of being in a relationship until he lays eyes on the most perfect canvas to ever sit in a tattoo chair, Kaley Harlow.  In the midst of their first chaotic meeting, Lucky makes a decision that will ensure these two see each other again and for Lucky's sake, hopefully Kaley will have her pants down. But Lucky has no idea the beauty he involved in his rash decision is a former child star whose known for always doing the right thing. He's not called Lucky for nothing, cause contrary to what Kaley is known for, she is looking for someone different. Although these two have no intentions of having a relationship. Fate says otherwise.

I relished watching oops reading (the story transitioned so well I felt like I was watching) the characters develop inner strength, confidence, acceptance all while finding true love. Lucky and Kaley made the perfect couple. They complemented each other's personalities and physically made one hot couple!

    Kudos Kelly Gendron.
