More About This Book

Overview

Renowned fashion photographer Donna DeMari has shot the most prominent names in the industry—Naomi, Kate, Heidi, Helena—but it is two names we do not recognize, Luke and Forrest, sibling Labrador retrievers, who have impacted her life most. "At a time when my world seemed to collapse, Luke and Forrest were my source of love and strength and miles of inspiration," says DeMari. "Their loving presence transformed my life from days of darkness to days of joy through their boundless generosity of spirit and the endearing qualities that made two Labs from the same litter as different as night and day, but united in their devotion to me and to each other."

This is a deeply moving story, told in word and picture, of love and trust lost, of love and trust regained, of salvation and saviors. It is a tribute to two dogs with big hearts, fierce loyalty and nurturing spirits who carried the author through the most difficult years of her life.

    Heartwarming and Beautiful!

Donna DeMari's Luke & Forrest - My Saviors, My Salvation is as sweet, honest and heartfelt as she is in person. Luke and Forrest, brother Labrador Retrievers who she adopted as pups at the darkest point of her life as her marriage unraveled, couldn't have been loved and cherished more by anyone. Luke and Forrest gave her reason to live, love, heal and grow. Donna's spectacular photos of her boys are breathtakingly lovely. Her prose is touching, perceptive and wise. Donna has been my dear, dear friend all my life and is a beautiful person, inside and out. I am in awe of her talent as an photographer, artist and writer. I recommend this book to anyone who has ever lost a beloved four-legged friend. Luke & Forrest were Donna's loves, and will be forever yours after you read this beautiful tribute.
