Editorial Reviews

Publishers Weekly
Sweet dreams are made of this: a lullaby book-and-CD set. Young listeners can drift off with the die-cut moon-shaped board book Lullabies Under the Moon by Giovanni Caviezel, illus. by M. Pledger, packaged with a CD containing narration of the bedtime story and soothing music. Copyright 2006 Reed Business Information.
Children's Literature
This die-cut board book comes with a CD packaged on the inside back cover. The cover image shows a little bunny on a crescent moon using a cloud for a pillow. The story is not particularly original—mother wants her baby to go to sleep, but he is too busy watching everything and enjoying the sights and sounds of night. The text on the closing page notes, "It's Mother's soft, sweet voiceLittle Bunny closes his eyes." as Mother sings another beautiful lullaby. The CD gives no printed credit to the reader/singer. The text of the book, additional material, and lullabies play for a total of 25 minutes. It is a nice package. Although the woman's speaking voice appears to have an accent, she is easy to understand and kids will hear every word of the text and songs. Nevertheless, I am not sure that it will help put them to sleep because they might want to stay awake and listen to the entire CD. 2006, Little Simon/Simon & Schuster, Ages 6 mo. to 2.

Story is cute, but the CD does NOT tell the story. It reads the page, then adds words, then sings a story.....then goes on the page 2. Bought this for my class, glad I didn't pay a lot for it!
