So good I read it in one sitting. A great follow-up to Lost in Lone Creek. Dalton Merrill is every bit as lovable as his older brother Carson.

Dalton Merrill. Emilee Walker. Lone Creek Ranch. And a writer who knows how to make a story come alive. Kudos to Mary Manners for a heartwarming, emotionally gripping addition to the Lone Creek Ranch series. This author is unwaveringly consistent in producing wonderful storylines and three-dimensional characters, and then wrapping them around a reader’s heart in such a way that they can never be forgotten. Dalton and Emilee walked into my heart and set up housekeeping. Not a full-length novel, but a stellar novella with heart and soul packed into every page. Truly good writing! I look forward to the next installment of the Lone Creek Ranch saga.

Wow! You want to talk about conflict? This story is just filled with it. Dalton's opening words to Emilee are terrible. The tension Emilee was already feeling just cranks even tighter. But what she doesn't see is that Dalton is all rough on the outside while his insides are a bundle of emotion.

Yeah, he's the kind of cowboy you hate to love, but can't help yourself.

All I can say is Ms. Manners has done it again. From the opening page she wrapped her characters around me and didn't free me until "The End".

    Great story!
