Lullaby Renditions of the White Stripes

Editorial Reviews

All Music Guide - Gregory Heaney
Under normal circumstances, one of the last bands you'd want to put on to get your child to fall asleep would be the White Stripes, but the good folks at Rockabye Baby! are looking to change that with Lullabye Renditions of the White Stripes. Featuring wistfully rearranged versions of jammers like "Fell in Love with a Girl," "Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground," and "Hotel Yorba," the album replaces the screaming fuzz and pounding drums with gentle percussion, retaining the melodies while giving the songs more of a bedtime vibe. Just the thing for rockin' kids or garage rock revival fans who can't get to sleep.
