Meet the Author

PENNY WATSON is a native Pittsburgher whose love of romance started at the age of twelve when she discovered Gone With The Wind in the middle school library. This resulted in numerous attempts at a first novel involving a young lady with windswept hair who lived in a tree house.

A biologist by training, Penny has worked at various times as a dolphin trainer, science teacher, florist, and turfgrass researcher. After taking time off to raise her two spirited children, she decided to rekindle her passion for storytelling with the support of a wonderful writer's group, The Quirky Ladies. Now she gets to incorporate her wide array of interests, including gardening, cooking and travel into her works of fiction. Penny lives outside of Boston with one fly-fishing crazed husband, two lively Filipino kids, and a wiener dog.

    This was such a fun, quirky, enjoyable read! Penny Watson had me at lumberjack! Why aren't more romances written about the bearded man who is oooh so manly sexy. The characters were funny, sassy, and utterly charming. I already bought the first in the Klaus brothers series and can't wait to read that one next. I bet they'll be bearded too! Woot! Highly recommended read.

    Absolutely Perfect-Great for the Holidays!!

    When you don't have time for a 400 page book but want a wonderful romance, let me recommend Ms. Watson's Lumberjack in Love. Truly a delightful treat. It's funny, sexy, has a "meaty" story, and is a perfect romance. This is a story I'll reread over and over. Marcus is delightful (beard and all!) and has a bulldog! Need I say more about Watson's scrumptous hero! Ami is a tornado that enters his life and changes it forever. Give yourself a treat this holiday season-you won't be sorry!!
