Editorial Reviews

From The Critics
Reviewer: E. Quinn Regan, MD (University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine)
Description: The book is an excellent collection of surgical fixation techniques for the lumbosacral and spinopelvis.
Purpose: The purpose is to present in one source a current review of the numerous approaches to the fixation of the lumbar spine, the sacrum, and the pelvis for bony fusions.
Audience: The audience includes all spine surgeons who deal with the difficult task of fusing the lumbosacral spine.
Features: The book features many different spinal systems that are presented by authors with extensive experience with these systems. The many different approaches and systems allow the surgeon to properly select the optimal approach for difficult cases.
Assessment: This is a needed, well-written text for spinal surgeons who treat patients who need spinal fusions of the lumbosacral and spinopelvis.
