Editorial Reviews

From Barnes & Noble

When Elle Décor recently named New York-based designer Brian J. McCarthy to their coveted A List, they noted that he "draws inspiration from the culture and elegance of European living, but distilled through an American thought process." That combination of history, functionality, and comfort gains impressively visible in his justly titled Luminous Interiors debut book. This sumptuous coffee-table pictorial focuses on nine McCarthy projects, each of which guides readers through the creative process and design decisions of the former Parish Hadley partner. His richly detailed commentary gives readers a rare opportunity to understand how design is created from the inside.
