I was recommended this book by my cousin and when I read it I couldn't stop reading it! It took a while to start getting into the story but not in a boring way like most books where it takes a while for the story to unfold and it seems like it's being dragged out til the author decides it is time to let it all come together. I couldn't explain what it was about because I wasn't getting it right away. But once the story started coming together and you're able to put it together piece by piece you're already to the end and realizing you don't WANT it to end. And I LOVE books like that, but hate at the same time because by that time you're on the last page and yearn for more. I am definitely excited and looking forward to the next installation in the series and can't wait to see how it'll carry over into the second book! For being a self-pubbed first book I definitely give the author props :) There were the few grammar errors here and there, and sentences that didn't end with the right words or words that were completely missing that should have been there, but it didn't distract from the overall story and didn't make it less enjoyable. So anyone who has issues with grammar, look past it, because you won't be disappointed overall in the end!

As an avid reader I read through books at such speed that I am often left digging into self-published books...sometimes I find a gem, but most often I'm left feeling like I wasted my time reading. I was cautiously optimistic when I read the description of this book and, after realizing this was the authors first book, even more cautious. Imagine my surprise when I couldn't put the book down!!!! As with several self-published books, there are some editing issues, but I enjoyed the story so much, I read past them without getting my usual frustration at them!!! I honestly didn't want the story to end and can't wait to read the next book in the series!!! So, job well done, Mrs. Campbell and PLEASE keep writing!!!

I started this series based on the recommendations of several friends. I wasn’t sure what I was getting into, but boy am I glad my friends know me so well. If you love Greek mythology then this is a series you do not want to miss. Twins (Alex and Alexis) have a very normal life, but when new students arrive at their school all hell breaks loose. I enjoyed the way Kristin wove this story together and how not everything plays out the way we think it will. She leads us down a road then does a 360 to completely keep us on our toes.

I am a Jessica Sorensen fan and she recommended this book to read. I got hooked by the first chapter. For being a self-pubbed first book I definitely give the author props.. There were the few grammar errors here and there but who cares. Not me.. I am definitely excited and looking forward to the next installation in the series and can't wait to see how it'll carry over into the second book!

WOW, I loved this book so much, and was so happy that the sequel Sleeping Gods was out and bought it right away! Man, its just as good as JLA's Covenant Series. Story is totally different, but I mean as the meshing of modern day with some mythology int here and some angels too. This book was different in a great way. Kristen is a brilliant author. I predict her career to be long and successful! I wont say too much spoiler type things, because you need to discover the wonder of this story yourself. Alexis and Alex (Alexander) are twins, who were adopted when they were babies. Its starts with Alexis (Lexi) wanting to find out about her biological parents. Alex tries to convince her that there is not need, as they love their adoptive parents, as they are great. Well, not long after she starts to discover many things, and meets a few new people who are more than the normal, but she doesn't know this at first. When she meets a really good artist (she is also a great artist) who could be an older twin of her brother Alex, she starts to wonder if she just found a relative or something. I wont say more on that, you will find out. Cole seems to be a great guy, and was wondering if he would turn out to be bad, and then Oliver, I was always un-sure of him. I like Lexi, she is a strong female character. I was able to relate to her, but was a bit jealous of her great talents, but there is a reason for it, lol. If you like any modern day angel, fallen angel, or mythology books, you will love this. Its written well, better than well, brilliant! I can't wait to get back to Sleeping Gods now. Check it out. You wont be sorry. 5 out of 5 stars for me, and highly recommended! I received a copy of this book from the author for my honest review.

The book turned out to be a huge disappointment, however. The writer uses very short, simple sentences and a lot of info dumps that ruins it. The characters are flat from beginning to end and the book is just very aggravating to read all the way through.

This is a must read! I love all the characters in the book I couldn't even put it down it was so good. It was one of those books you had to see what was going to happen next. I love the romance between Cole and Lexi and I can't wait to see what happens with those 2. They were my favorite of course. After the end of the book I was like no where is the rest now I have to wait till book 2 to see what happens and I'm so looking forward to it. Love it!!

Wow! I really cant wait to see where Kristin takes this series!!! It is defiantly different then what I've read before, a VERY good different I might add! I really enjoyed this book and was very happy to be able to review it for Kristin. I was hooked from the beginning of this book had a hard time putting it down. I loved how the author took time unraveling all the details but kept it so interesting you just couldn't put it down, I do wish it wouldnt have taken soo long but I cant complain when you read about Cole ( yummy). It was one of those books you got to the end and went "OMG this cant be over" double checked it was for sure over and then your searching for when book two comes out! I really love the love story she has building between Cole and Lexis, I cant wait to find out what happens further in that! I also really liked all the characters, the story line was great, and I really think this will make a great series! My only complaint was some of the mistakes and that it wouldnt have taken so long to get to the details, it would've been nice to know more in the first book! That being said I will be giving it a 4 outta 5 cause of the love story and i will be waiting on book 2!! Cant wait!

I thought Lunangelique combined angels with mythology beautifully. The two go hand in hand well. You are given Lexi's point of view, but at the end you get a few scenes from the book re-told in Cole's point of view. This gave me some great insight into him as a character, as well as seeing the other sides to another character or two too. This book kept my attention and kept me wanting more. I really enjoyed Lunangelique, and I feel like we're just getting our feet wet with this series. I'm pretty excited about it, and I'm looking forward to reading the next books too. Lunangelique by Kristin R. Campbell was provided to me by Reading Addiction Blog Tours for review. The opinions are my own.
