Overview

The race is on for a new student council president, and the Breakfast Bunch is rallying for Hector! The competition is already heavy, but the race heats up when school security is at stake: student and staff high-tech gadgets are disappearing left and right. Whoever the culprit is, this is one stealthy thief—and the school is so busy with the election that he gets away with it every time. Luckily some of Lunch Lady's own culinary gadgets have eluded the crook, but will they be enough to catch this sticky-fingered bandit? And will Hector be able to pull off a victory?

Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Miranda McClain
Hector is running for class president, but his chances of victory against Milmoe seem slim. While Milmoe is running a fierce race, Hector does not have much time for campaigning. He and his friends must help Lunch Lady find out who has been stealing electronic devices all over the school. They better find out soon because the new superintendent is due for a visit, and if everything is not in tiptop shape for her inspection, Lunch Lady could be out of a job! Can Hector and the Breakfast Bunch help conquer the villain, and can Hector run a winning campaign against Milmoe? This title serves as another action-packed, over-the-top, hilarious installment in the ever-popular "Lunch Lady" series. Though adults may be unimpressed with this silly school caper, it has kid appeal written all over it. It's sure to be a hit with the elementary school crowd, no doubt about it! Title number nine in the "Lunch Lady" series. Reviewer: Miranda McClain

My kids really like this series. It was recommended by our school librarian. I have an 8 year old and a 10 year old. It's been a few months and they are Devouring them all over again. A good choice for the reluctant reader, or as a break from big chapter books. They can easily read a few books in one sitting. While sharing about what's happening in the book they are currently in.
