Saving the world should be easier.

When airship captain Kaysana meets Sten, the last thing she wants to do is have mad rough sex with him while bound by ropes and clamps but fate pencils in their appointment. The lust plague strikes. From her infected crew, zombies arise.

With her ship gone, she must rely on Sten, a human clone, a man who has fought all his life to master himself. She despises his kind and detests Sten's growing hold on her. Though he never takes no for an answer, surely it's the plague that makes yes slip from her tongue like melted butter? Or should she blame her own traitorous heart?

Hordes of slavering zombies await them. Sten and Kaysana unlimber weapons, don goggles, and set a course for the origin of the plague. Yet their victory will be hollow if they cannot also solve the puzzle of their hearts.

First of all I can tell you I am not a huge zombie fan, so I was a little unsure about reading this 2nd book in the Steamwork Chronicles series. I can honestly say that the storyline is highly entertaining and the sex is HOT. Airship Captain Kaysana’s crew has been infected with The Lust Plague which basically turns people into sex crazed zombies. The Plague has varied effects on people, some just become incredibly horny, others turn into sex crazed zombies, torturing and eating their victims.

Luckily for Kaysana, a frankenstruct named Sten is aboard her airship and rescue’s her before it crashes. Sten was created in a lab from cloned body parts and is an outcast of society only recently being release from slavery. Most people don’t even consider him human. Kaysana is a by the book Captain that will do nothing to tarnish her career. These two have been thrown together by accident and decide to try and save the world. Kaysana is convinced that she is being affected by the plague and that is the only reason she craves Sten touch and follows his every lust filled command.

Great story and super hot read! Sten is a HOT dominant and I loved the fact that Kaysana, didn’t know what to think about herself when she realized she loved following Sten’s commands and receiving his spankings. Even though this is the second book in the series it can be read as a stand -alone. Cari Silverwood does a great job of creating an exciting story that includes a sexy BDSM relationship. ENJOY!

Wow! What a ride! This is the second book in the Steamwork Chronicles. It can be read as a stand alone. I really enjoyed this book. Steampunk is quickly becoming a genre I like- kind of- scifi/fantasy/ historical and this one had zombies! I know what you're thinking- O.o Zombies in erotica?? What the...!? but the author makes it work. There's even an epic battle- ~Squeee- I just love epic battles ~ Once again Cari Silverwood has shown us a new world with steamships, steam cars , automatons/robots, strange weapons, clones/frankenstructs. There's even a friendly wolf. Strong take no nonsense female main characters I really liked. Although I wanted to slap her for her bigotry towards the poor frankenstructs at the beginning. Sten is an uber alpha male. mmmm- Sten- I'd like to clone him but don't think I could hide him from my Hubby- Sten isn't the kind to hide in the closet :) This is a great story with super steamy sex scenes. Fans of BDSM, steampunk Erotica, scifi, and fantasy I believe would enjoy this book. The zombies add just a touch of some horror too. I can't wait to read the next in the series
