Meet the Author


George V. Higgins was an American journalist, lawyer, and crime novelist. Many of his novels were inspired by the seven years he spent working for the government in the war against organized crime in Boston. He is the author of The Agent, The Digger’s Game, The Friends of Eddie Coyle, and The Rat on Fire, among many others. Magdalena Palmer has translated Higgins's The Rat on Fire, as well as Paradise Postponed and Titmuss Regained, among other books.
