When one has been using a system for some years, there becomes familiarity. It is still good to have a reference book on that system as being used to your specific way of use often sets your ways and much is forgotten. The reference book is good to read now and then just to refresh you and you will also find ways of use of which you have either neglected or forgotten and can then prove valuable. Robin Williams book Mac OS X 1.5 Leopard, is such a book. Moving to a new system with many changes the user needs something to help in the new features and uses, along with the methods. I learned a lot from this book and will be pleased to add it to my library. Everything pertaining to Leopard is covered with the exception of some of the added programs like iLife and iWork. They will be covered in another book and really weren¿t expected in this one about the system. There are some applications covered but they are part of the system. I highly recommend this book for anyone using Leopard either for the first time or as time goes by for future reference. Marty Grauer Fresno Macintosh Users Group.
