    Award Winning Title!

On April 10th, 2003 'Macromedia Flash MX: The Complete Reference' was awarded 1st place in the Graphic Design and Multimedia category of the Referenceware Excellence Awards 2003 presented at the Waterside Publishing Conference in Berkeley, CA. Since this award is based on actual reader usage, it is a clear indicator that this is simply the best Flash MX title you will find anywhere.

    No real new MX information

This book covers very little about the new features of Flash MX. This book's infomration really is no different than a Flash 5 book. You can tell that this book was rushed to be the first book about Flash MX ( at least so I assume by the publish date). If you need a referance on Flash in general and don't care much between the differences of Flash 5 and Flash M, then it's ok. Otherwise, if you have Flash 5 references and need an MX one, I would tell you to pass this title up.

    Really the best!

I wanted a book that would teach me what I really needed to know about Flash MX, and I found it here. This author has an excellent writing style and doesn't assume that you already know everything about the subject the way so many of the other Flash titles seem to do. The descriptions he gives are complete, easy to understand, and very well written. You won't do better than this one!

Excellent Reference on Macromedia Flash MX

When I bought this book, I was looking for an excellent reference, which would help me navigate Flash MX. I have been working with the book for a couple of days, and I am confident that I made the right decision. The author¿s explanations are clear and concise, and he explains everything, paying special attention to the important details. The Part on ActionScript is thorough and includes great information on the new components in Flash MX. In short, if you are interested in a soup-to-nuts book that walks you through the programs features, this is the book for you.
