FRANKLIN POTTER, Ph.D., is a retired physicist from the University of California at Irvine. He continues to conduct research in elementary particle physics and cosmology, as well as consult in physics education.
CHRISTOPHER JARGODZKI, Ph.D., is Professor of Physics at Central Missouri State University. He is also founder and director of Center for Cooperative Phenomena. He was born and raised in Poland, and received his Ph.D. in quantum field theory from the University of California at Irvine.

With a series of nearly two hundred and fifty questions, this title introduces physics students to a broad range of topics from the special theory of relativity, to nuclear and particle physics. Most questions require a foundation of physics education not only to solve the braintwister, but to grasp the answer as well. Half of the book presents the questions, while the other half explains the solutions. Each of the eleven chapters represents a different topic in physics. Students may find the sidebars, including quotations from famous figures in science and fascinating facts related to physics, more interesting and informative than the questions themselves. Most of the paradoxes and braintwisters introduced do not require students to perform activities or independent experiments. The majority of the questions can be answered by thinking the problem out using theories and formulas learned in physics class.
