Overview

Every family has a story to tell; some are just more extraordinary than others. In the father/son authored memoir Madness, Miracles, Millions, Joseph and Larry Semprevivo tell their family's story and in doing so they demonstrate that with real sacrifice and hard work, anyone can realize their dreams. This book is the story of not only a million dollar company and its humble beginnings, but of the family who built the company and the many obstacles, both personal and professional, they overcame to accomplish their ultimate success. This is certainly not a tale of silver spoons and entitlement. The Semprevivo family's account takes the Horatio Alger narrative to a new level by presenting a family that not only overcame poverty with hard work, but also overcame life-threatening illness and near fatal accidents.

Victim or victor!? That is a great question that this book both asks and answers! Joseph, through his family's inspiring contemporary Horatio Alger type story truly inspires the reader to turn victim into victor!

I really enjoyed this story of How Joseph, his father Larry and his entire family have met such diversity and turned it into such amazing success. This is a great example of how selflessly working together as a family can overcome almost any difficulty and and any odds.

It was also very interesting to read how a cookie company got started by a diabetic boy in the backroom of a restaurant and then turned into a multimillion dollar trailblazing company. It is always great to hear how these American Dreams come to fruition and often involve a supporting family, ingenuity and lots of hard work. If you want to read an uplifting story about a family who succeeded by working together, creating their own opportunities, turning lemons into lemonade and simply refusing to ever give up then this book is for you. It is a quick read but it left an impression on me that will last a very long time. Thank you Joseph, Larry and the Semprevivo family for sharing!

    Highly Recommended

This is a wonderful story of a family's hardships and successes. They have proven it doesn't matter how many times you fall down, it only matters how many times you get up. They really got up. It is not only a motivational story but a beautiful love story of a very strong family as well.
