Meet the Author

Corey Pung was born on Maui in 1985. Since then, he has spent most of his life in the Pacific Northwest along with several years in Hawaii. He has dropped out of three colleges. Instead of going for a fourth, he has decided to do what he has wanted to all along: write books.

    A highly enjoyable read

    The Madness of Art is a brilliant eight story collection by the exceptional young author Corey Pung. My favorite story 'The Shopper Awakes' like a majority of each story it is written in the third person narrative. Rita, the protagonist of The Shopper Awakes, is a superficial socialite who hits her head while attempting to escape a bad date at a screening of the picture 'Things to come'. She awakes in the distant future and finds the city in ruins.
    From there she has to learn to survive by her wits.
    The author doesn't end each story with a moral or objective. Each story is wonderfully written to be appreciated and enjoyed for what it is, Art!
