Overview

In a career spanning three decades, Madonna has produced a record-breaking run of hit singles and albums, starred in—and directed—films, and staged some of the highest-grossing concert tours of all time. But she is more than just a pop singer and actress. She is an icon of our times, and one who has continued to reinvent both herself and the very nature of celebrity ever since she first appeared, with ‘Holiday’ in 1983.

Madonna is a richly illustrated, chronological guide to every album, every tour, every film, and more. It covers the key collaborators, the countless controversies, the ever-changing fashions, and everything in between, with pull-out timelines for each phase of Madonna’s career. From “Vogue” to Ray of Light, The Girlie Show to the Sticky & Sweet Tour, the Sex book to The English Roses...it’s all here.

Editorial Reviews

"Touch my body, and move in time, now I know you're mine." Everything about this book, from its giant size to its velvety, touchy-feely cover, to its larger than life contents fits its megastar subject. Like the "In the Groove" lyric, this lavishly illustrated coffee table super-spectacular moves through time; in this case, every Madonna album, tour, film, and more. A transcendent view of The Material Girl.

I couldn't believe it when I seen this book sitting there randomly browsing the bargain section of my local B&N. In front of me appeared this stunningly detailed and top notch quality book about my one true love, Madonna!! Grabbing the opened display (yes, they are shrink wrapped for your unwrapping pleasure), and devoured this completely current and amazing book. It's not only current, but it's also striped with a felt finish. Buy it and enjoy. It's ignorant not to for any fan. It's WORTH your money. THE END.
