There is just nothing to compare this book with. The depth and scope of the writing, the variations in the characters, the flow of the story, the accuracy in detail and the frightening supernatural premise are all so new and completely unique. I loved it and highly recommend it.

I picked it up at five in the evening just to get start on it and found myself finishing it at three. Just could not put it down. It was that good. A real page turner; romantic, enchanting and in parts quite gruesome.

How many books written by a man cast a woman as the heroine? This is surprisingly well written and deeply moving. There is, of course, all the 'boy' stuff with guns and guts but there is something much deeper going on in these pages. Read it and I think you will be as blown away as I was. This is a summer tanner!

If one can survive the beautifully written first three chapters, one will be carried away with mystic revelations and utmost pleasure in one of the most extraordinary stories I have ever read. I love this book and being eighty-four and a voracious reader I can assure you that I seldom find myself as captivated by current writers. Let this one take you away and enjoy the horror and wonder that is astonishingly detailed on each and every page.

The first fifty or so pages were difficult and detailed, very heavy reading. But once I got into the story I couldn't put it down. Great book, real characters, engaging story and a spooky ending. I guess thats how you sell books two and three. Bring them on!

'Madres de Dios was a captivating book. The beginning took me awhile to absorb, but I found it necessary to have that background to fully enjoy the rest of the book. Once I picked it up, I couldn't put it down. As a matter of fact for a few days afterwards I had book withdrawal. I await the second book with great anticipation.' Angela B. Greenwich, CT

The book is extremely well researched and the characters are so rich and real that they almost make the story secondary, and the story is wonderfully magical! Book one of three in an end of the world thriller. Where's book two? When will it be released?

Wow! The detail that went into this book and the story that wraps around it made this one of my favorites. Can't wait for the next two in the trilogy

Love it! The first 14 pages were a lot to chew but were totally necessary to set up the trilogy and build the characters. You can tell the writer put enough factual detail to give it a 'real sense' despite the fact that the story is purely fiction. Utilizing end-time prophecies from the Bible, Koran and Torah to establish his own unique vision, the writer weaves a tale of primative jungle beliefs and more organized religious codes to expand and share an apocalyptic vision truly horrifying. Thomas includes enough detail to allow readers a glimpse into his characters' minds and uses the present tense through much of the story giving a sense of immediacy to the reader. I found the writing to be excellent and very descriptive. It was hard to set down and I read it in 2 days. It WILL make you stop and think. I can't wait to read the next two. The story spans approximately 30 years beginning just before the end of society as we know it and reaching past to the salvation of human exsistence. Keep an open mind and enjoy!
