Love this magazine. I like the table of contents at the beginning where it shows you pics of all the recipes they've included in the current issue. I love the buying suggestions of all the latest and greatest cooking gear and utensils! Best of all they keep it simple and don't put a bunch of "Bourdainesque" schmucky commentary about food and what food should be. Thanks Food Network Magazine for leaving out the overbearing gourmet critique out of the picture. Simple enough suggestions and recipes for anyone. They know their fan base and keep things tailored perfectly to the people that view their network. Good stuff!

This is great to give you ideas for days when you are tired of the same old, same old. I have one question. I have been receiving this and quite a few other e-magazines on my Nook Color for a while now, when i subscribed there was no option for a yearly subscription only monthly(which was a bit of a pain since my bank now charges a fee for every electronic transaction which comes to about $19 for the e-magazines alone). Is there a way to get what has been paid already put towards the monthly? It would be such a relief to just pay for the yearly and be done with it.

I love to bake and try new recipes. This magazine has as many recipes in each issue as a normal recipe book. They are easy to make for the average person and taste good so far! Great addition to my cookbook collection.

At the beginning of each magazine, there is a spread of all the recipes found (pictures and name) sorted out, like pasta, drinks, appetizers, seafood, etc and is a great tool to find something quick. The recipes and articles are great and creative. You don't have to be a cooking genius to attempt most the things in here...the complicated steps are explained really well.

The magazine is overrun w/advertisements, providing very little in the way of new recipes and/or ideas for menus. Additionally, most of the recipes included in the preview edition were not from the "stars" on The Food Network, but appeared to be from test kitchens. Those recipes that were provided from some of the major players were re-runs of recipes that you can find at TFN website. All in all, not worth purchasing.
