Overview

International bestselling author Laurence Gardner takes on the legacy of Mary Magdalene in this gripping new collection of historical detective work and hidden mysteries. Gardner reveals the sensational new information from the Vatican and monastic archives that shed light on the intimate relationship and secret marriage between Mary Magdalene and Jesus, describing Magdalene as a close companion and financial sponsor to Jesus, and not merely a repentant prostitute, as the Church portrayed her. Addressing the vast discrepancy between scripture and dogma, Gardner draws on the forbidden texts that were edited from the Bible, and exposes the true status of Mary among the apostles.

Gardner takes on the controversial significance of why the Renaissance Church censored portrayals of the Magdalene, and reveals the truth about the enigmatic Order of the Templars and the underground stream that protected the messianic heritage. Ripe with intrigue, The Magdalene Legacy exposes sacred history, hidden mysteries, and the truth behind centuries of veiled facts.

Highly Recommended - you must check it out!!

This book is very informative. Laurence Gardner doesn't just say/claim what he thinks, he investigates the Vatican Archives and other sources, i.e. Various Library Archives, Inscriptions found in/on various locations. This book is not for the faint of heart/Indoctrinated people. If you seek the truth and not what the church or schools want you to believe I highly recommend this book and others that he's written.

    Everything revealed!

Wow!, This is great. If you've read the Da Vinci code you'll want to read this next. It covers the historical documented facts that make Mary Magdalene the wife of Jesus in no uncertain terms. Gardiner goes right to the source. He documents every feature he explains with plates of paintings to back it up. The only thing I disagree with is his take on Leonardo's painting of the Last Supper in which we see a faminine figure next to Jesus. Gardiner says is not Mary but John. This book has written documentation from bishops, monks and others including wording in the Gospels that prove Mary was the Mother of Jesus' children. Roman Rulers tried to take out the bloodline and cover it up. It's worth a read.
