Story was good - just as it was good in the anthology it was originally published in. I love this author, but am not happy I paid twice for this.

Just when I thought I couldn't like Andrews's books more, along comes this novella. My favorite stories are often the ones where the heroine, despite her competence in other areas, is completely unsure of herself as a romantic figure; Dali is utterly convincing in that role, and her conversations with Jim are heartwrenching, even though the happily ever after is never in doubt. Better yet, Andrews develops a new area of her post-magicocalypse Atlanta in developing the East-Asian communities and an underground market. A great addition to the Kate Daniels world.

I originally bought Hexed and glad I read the overview where it tells you that it originally published there (not sure if that was added after some of the reviews complained about buying the book twice) but thought I would add the review here. I really enjoyed this novella, it was a nice change from all the werewolf shapechanger novels out there and I hope the author further expands on these werecats in the future.

I can't speak to this particular book but I agree that there's way to much repackaging that we're paying for, believing that it's new or fresh. There's even one - Angel's Flight , I believe that had the exact Angel/Vampire story as another paranormal romance short story paperback. Is this lazy or greedy? I prefer my books in paper.
