    A reviewer

This book is an example to children who just want too much and to spoiled children.

A Story that Reels Your In, Hook, Line, and Sinker

This is a story that was read to me as a child and I now read it to my own children. Beyond the positive moral of the story, it's one that children truly get captivated by. In fact, the writing style and repetition encourages children to 'read along' with their parent, making this truly a shared experience. I'm buying another copy because mine has essentially worn through. I'm hoping to get another 30+ years' worth of enjoyment out of it -- and I know that I and my children will be sharing this wonderful story with their children.

A simple tale... A huge lesson!

This enchanting story of a greedy woman and her poor fisherman husband provides a vivid example for children that happiness can not be drawn from material things. The benevolent and content fisherman knew that happiness came from within.Too bad his selfish wife didn't!

Enchanting Story For The Hard to Please

This book absolutely held my child's attention. He became enchanted with the Magic fish who gave the character's what they wished and then surprised when the Magic fish taught them a valuable lesson. It help me as a parent to speak to my child about the values of things. I recommend it to any parent with children of any age.
