    Low Carb dieters should check this out

    A much more balanced view of a low carb diet, getting in some the carbs I like without going without them at all. I especially liked their take on pasta, acknowledging that there are 7 or more grams of protein that make a good balance with the carbs. Great charts, recipes, and analysis of glycemic loads of many foods. It insired me to work a little to enjoy some of the higher carb foods I enjoy.

    A Healthy Eating Lifestyle Change Must Have!

    At the first of the year, I decided to get my eating habits off to a good start, I wanted to make some healthy choices. I set a goal to watch what I eat, making healthier, lower fat, lower calorie choices and watch my portions. This book put it all together for me. It give suggestions for altering the meals you enjoy the most to healthier ones and tells you why it's important to get in touch with you glycemic index. I am more aware of everything I am putting in my mouth and plan out my meals in advance, while shopping. I have lost 10 pounds since the beginning of they year. I feel great!

    Not a Reader's Digest fan but...

    While I usually do not consider myself a Reader's Digest fan, I found this book to be exactly what I wanted. The book has helped me reduce the amount of carbohydrates I eat by providing the information I need to purchase and prepare foods that are better for my overall health.

    I am especially pleased with the recipe section. While I have only had the book a couple of months, I have already tried several recipes. One of my favorites is the whole wheat with flax seed meal bread.

    Not Just For Dieters

    This book helps you to understand what impact certain foods have on your body. It inspires you to eat healthier - one step at a time. You adjust your eating habits as it fits you and your lifestyle. It just helps everyone to eat better for overall good health. My doctor had it in his exam rooms and I got hooked and had to own it. I highly recommend it to everyone.
