    wonderful kid books

Diana Cooper has created an enchanting children’s book series, chronicling the magical adventures of Tara and the Talking Kitten. Young Tara is supported and guided by her wise kitten Ash-ting, who gives Tara sage advice in a voice that only Tara can hear. In The Magical Adventures of Tara and the Talking Kitten, Tara often speaks and acts before she thinks. Through the kitten’s sage coaching, Tara begins to mend relationships and cultivate new friendships. In Tara and the Talking Kitten Meet Angels and Fairies, the second book in the series, Tara gets help with her dyslexia, learns how to handle inappropriate adult touching, and saves a forest. In the third book, Tara and the Talking Kitten Meet a Unicorn, a unicorn shows Tara how to bring healing to others. Who couldn’t use loving advice to help them navigate the trials of life? The series is a fun adventure, with the lessons feeling interesting, but never preachy.
    — Nea Akayla, New Connexion Journal
