Overview

Traditionally, being able to give a reading with tarot cards has required the painstaking memorization of the details of 78 specific cards. Author Michele Morgan has developed a method that taps into the user's intuitive and psychic abilities, providing freedom from reliance on any one tarot deck. With each card described and illustrated, users learn the essence of wands, cups, pentacles, and swords, and thus are free to work with any and all variations. While tarot can be a complex world with layers of symbolism, Morgan's method unlocks core meanings, allowing newcomers, as well as aficionados, to discover a whole new way of interpreting ancient arcana.

Editorial Reviews

Publishers Weekly
A professional psychic, Tarot counselor and teacher, Morgan (Simple Wicca) carefully guides readers in using "a centuries-old mystical tool for communication with the Divine" the 78 cards of the Tarot. From "choosing, keeping and caring for your deck" to illustrated, card-by-card explanations, Morgan gets readers up and running quickly by fostering intuitive takes on what comes up, before tackling "spreads, timelines and why the king and queen aren't speaking." One of the Best books of Tarot

This book breaks with all the traditional so called 'spookies' of the tarot. Michele is down to earth in her writing and makes anyone want to buy a tarot deck and learn it! Never has any book that I have read on the tarot been so practical. She throws out all the superstitions about the tarot and gives you solid information on how to read them and enjoy them also! To anyone just learning the tarot or already knows the tarot this is a must have book . Deb S. CA

    Simply the Best

This is absolutely the best tarot 'help' book I have ever read, and there have been plenty. Michele shines again in her own style .. plain speaking and so very entertaining. For the first time I feel I understand the cards and I'm not afraid to trust my own judgement.

    An excellent course on Tarot

I just started playing around with Tarot, and this is my first, and currently only book on the subject. I've seen a tarot deck many times before, including in a James Bond movie, and I never really believed it, thinking the person was just making stuff up. Boy was I wrong! Me and a friend both did a reading for his younger sister, and similar cards came up both times, telling us both the same things! Plus he wasn't even paying attention to what I was saying when I did the first reading! That is definitely not by chance. Anyway, definitely get this book, you don't have to memorize the definitions of any of the cards to do effective meaningful work with the Tarot!

    A MUST HAVE Tarot Book

Simply SPECTACULAR...and that does not even begin to explain all of the insightful information you'll find inside. It is a powerful book that is easy to understand and fun to use. It will help you encode the meanings and magic of your cards. After you read this book you will finally have the knowledge you will need to unlock the secrets of the tarot. It is perfect for the beginner or the expert. This book will explain what all other books fail to mention. You will be able to read the messages from your deck...any deck with ease thanks to this book. It is without a doubt the COMPLETE guide to tarot readings, coupled with the personal touches of Michele Morgan. I absolutely loved it!

Really is a Magical Course in Tarot!

Most Tarot books that I have read give quite prescriptive meanings to the cards that I found quite limiting. Michele's style of writing is really down to earth, in a sort of 'wacky best friend' way!. The book encouraged my intuitive side rather than just reading off what the cards traditionally mean. The combination of the Mythic Tarot book and cards by Juliet Sharman-Burke and Michele's book really has been magic. I¿ve been chased by intuitive experiences for such a long time, only really acknowledging them 2 or 3 months ago. With Michele's help, I¿ve been able to focus on my dreams and gain further insight and confirmation through the tarot. A Magical Course in Tarot covers the traditional meanings of all the cards with pictoral illustrations. There is also a section on Prayer and Ritual
