**I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review** Jay Felix was lead singer of Chaya. He was a 25yr old rock star and his band was breaking up. Audra was a housekeeper on Romance Island who just got bumped up to taking care of the VIP villas. She had been working part-time on hospitality jobs since she turned 14, 7yrs ago. She always had a crush on Jay Felix. I loved the characters and plots, but I felt the ending left you hanging, but the rest of the story was great. I recommend, just a note on the ending. I would've preferred an Epilogue so the story had been complete.

Well gee, this book had me teeter tottering between loving it and not! The rock star really played the all things bad role completely which at first I found humorous but kept pushing towards ridiculous. Our main character, Audra, she really kept me flipping the pages because I wanted her to either tame the rock star back to a decent person or put a forever hurt on him. Now, I can't disclose the outcome, but I can once again proclaim this writers skills on stirring up the emotional roller coasters! As a reader, the book doesn't always have to stimulate the normal warm and fuzzies. By also getting my anger going well, I have to concede this book took me where it was designed to. I applaud this great writer! You didn't give me roses and Prince Charming, but you did successfully keep me glued to these pages dying to find out the outcome!!!

This story was filled with a rock star trying to get into the maid’s pants. It was a really good story that I couldn’t put down. I ended up with a book hangover trying to find out what happened at the end of the story. I am now wondering what happens in the next story because this one kept me entertained for hours.

This story contains a woman who cleans rooms at a resort until she can attain her dream of being a meteorologist. She is given an opportunity to climb the ladder. She just needs to take care of the VIP. The top rule: no fraternization with guests. Audra is tested when she meets Jason, the only VIP at the moment. He is determined to have her and works at breaking down her barriers. I enjoyed this story and look forward to more from Demelza Carlton. I recommend this book.

This is the first book in a new series from the author (well new series for me). It is a typical storyline that she turned into a good read.

This was sent to me and I didn't realize it was a romance book (typically don't read these). But I did enjoy reading it. It was an easy read and the characters were likeable. The ending did leave you hanging so that is why I'm giving 4 stars.

All in all it was a good book! The ending left me hanging and the preview for the next book left me confused, not real sure how they are going to tie together yet but it's a fantasy world - Anything could happen!!!

I went in not knowing much about the book or the author and I was surprised. Pleasantly so. I liked that although there is attractions they don't immediately act on it for the sake of her job and her sanity. I like how Audra dealt with her family and friends and how she went after her dreams and I love that the ending was unpredictable and I cant wait to read more!

I thought this was as such a fun treat to read. It is irreverent, charming, moody, and yet so addictive!! Hard to resist reading about a bad boy rock star with an incredibly hot and hard body. I was intrigued from the first chapter and had trouble putting it down. What a great start to the Romance Island Resort series. ***This copy was given in exchange for an honest review.

The book was going Along so great until the last page. Talk about a cliff hanger! Then it gives you a preview of the next book and I'm not sure I like the way it may be going. But all in all not a bad book.

“Maid for the Rock Star” by Demelza Carlton takes place in a real beautiful setting. The author describes the surroundings wonderfully so that the reader is able to dive into the story and feel at home. Also the writing is solid and the story flows at a steady pace. All main characters have enough depth to feel believable and real to the reader. At least if the reader is expecting a rock star to be a little “full of himself”. I really liked the funny and witty dialogues between Audra and Jay. But I must admit that at times the behavior of Jay was following a little “too much” the cliché of a spoiled rich guy. But still in total I can recommend this book as a real nice summer & beach read.

Maid for the Rock star, Demelza Carlton.   Review from Jeannie Zelos book reviews Genre:  Romance. I try to choose books carefully as I hate doing low star reviews but sometimes I get it wrong. I did that here, in a bad way. Tempted by the Rock star tag – I have a weakness for those romances – I didn’t look to see what other books Demelza had written to see if I like her writing style. Of course that’s no guarantee – even a favourite author will write books that you don’t enjoy sometimes, but its a starting point and may have stopped me choosing this – who knows? So, I didn’t like Jay, the rock star in question. Hated him in fact, he’s obnoxious, rude, coarse, self obsessed and acts as though he’s a toddler when he doesn’t get his own way. I wasn’t that keen on Audra either, she seemed a little supercilious in attitude. Still, she’s loyal to her family, hard working and filling in as a maid while she waits to see if she can get a job in her chosen profession, meteorology. I did wonder why she was throwing her all into something that she says only take one graduate a year, and spending the interlude as a maid isn't going to help – they’ll want someone who’s been working in some kind of connected forum, even if only as a spare time volunteer somewhere.  I didn’t get further that a third of the way through though...it seemed all the action was taking place at the resort, no touring, no rock star stuff other than that he was one. Maybe later, but I really hadn’t the stamina to go on with the story. All we seemed to get was Jay being obnoxious and Audra mooning over him while telling herself no. I really couldn’t see why she was even thinking about sleeping with him, one moment she’s telling us she mustn’t risk her job as she really needs it, then she’s thinking of taking him up on his slimy suggestions. I was taken aback when it was just her and the gym trainer cleaning up blood in the gym – that’s a real hazard, and needs professional cleaning, very dangerous and a luxury resort would not leave it to a maid with a bog standard carpet shampooer. There’s the fact she has one beer with Jay and says she’s lightweight so can’t drink more, then the next evening she has three beers with another staff member, gets “buzzed” as she says, but is still on duty!! way to keep your job lady...Then there was the lack of any signs that Jay was a musician, no agents phoning, no publicity even when he’s out of the resort, nothing to suggest he’s a very famous person. The romance novels, would he really do that? read them? I don’t think so. Then after the car accident when he wakes up handcuffed to the bed and finds out he may be charged with murder according to the detective with him I was just – no...I can’t go on with this, life is too short to spend on books I know I won’t like.  Murder? What? I know this isn’t set in UK but I’m sure the law works the same way in Australia, and if this had been real his sister would have been notified as next of kin given he was unconscious for so long and his agent would have had the lawyers there ASAP.   Stars: One, but not I DNF . It's a book that I just couldn’t get on with. I felt it needed more research to give it some semblance of reality and I just couldn’t bring myself to read more.  ARC supplied by Netgalley and publishers  If you enjoyed my review I'd love it if you would please click “Like” and if you didn't I'd love to know why, in case I've inadvertently added a spoiler and need to edit
