As with all of Maida Heater's cookbooks, this one is no different. She has very tasty recipes with precise instructions as to how to make each item. Nothing but the best from Maida Heater. You will receive compliments on each and every item you make! A must-have cookbook!!
This great dessert cookbook was my first, and gave me the confidence to continue with elaborate preparations. Maida covers all types of desserts, writing an intro to each, which is helpful in selecting what to make. She writes careful recipes, and the results are delicious desserts just as described. The Raspberry-Strawberry Bavarian, the Queen Mother's Cake and Chocolate Mousse (both versions) are some of my favorites, but everything I've made is delicious.
We have yet to make a recipe from this book that wasn't totally yummy. Some of the recipes are a bit involved, but if you follow the directions, you can't go wrong. The Queen Mother's Cake is to die for. (Definately not for the dieter.)
