I recently graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I finally have the time to write out the imaginary stories floating around in my head. I currently live with my family in North Carolina, where I’ve lived basically, “forever”. Clearly, my “prince charming” has yet to make an appearance, so I have to write fiction instead. Adi Ray is my pseudonym, thus ensuring my characters keep my secrets.

Ariana Wexford, newly introduced to society, wanted to blend into the crowd. She wasn’t there to fall for the handsome and wealthy men that wanted to treat her as a possession. She was there to try for a new life, one that she could have while simultaneously continuing to do what she loved. It only took one man to expose her secret, but she wouldn’t give her heart away so easily. Not without a fight. But would she lose herself in the battle?
Christopher Locksley was known for going through the female population one by one. With his devastatingly handsome face and commanding presence, every woman wanted his heart. But he wasn’t one to be tied down. His thoughts were consumed by leaving the stifling, gossipy town he was born in and finding the one woman who would value his restlessness: Oceana, Queen of the Atlantic. It was a pirate’s life that he wanted. And he always took what he wanted.

Um, can I just say that I'd like to be Ariana Wexford?? This book was so great to read and it is worth the money (a lot of pages). There are a mix of funny characters that interact well with each other. I love it when ladies get to kick butt!! There is excellent chemistry and witty conversations between Ariana and Chris. Love this book!!!
This is an astoundingly good story. But I have a few words for the people who care about their reading. This writer has only a nodding acquaintance with the comma and even less working knowledge of the apostrophe. There are some misspelled words but more often the wrong word is used or something like "buttoning his cravat" or "one morning as they hoisted the mast" as if they take it down at night and hoist it every morning. This writer has awesome potential because the story line is unique and doesn't flag.. The characters are strong and well-developed and emotions are conveyed very well. Hopefully this writer will make an effort to learn the punctuation rules and/or retain the services of a competent proofreader, for I can see her name on "best seller" lists from here to the moon if she improves her presentation.
Different take on the classic romance. Very well written. Cant wait to read more by this author and highly recommend this book to others.
This is a great girl power book with very charismatic characters. I really laughed at the funny banter between Ariana and Chris! Their romance is not typical and there are many twists to the plot. But, I won't give away the ending. I look forward to Adi's next book!!!
