Overview

The year is 1903. When Jane’s husband died, leaving her WIDOWED with their three year old daughter, she was to find that life was going to get a whole lot harder.

PENNILESS, ABANDONED…

Not left with much but unfulfilled dreams she turned to waiting tables and cleaning floors to ensure that her daughter never went to bed hungry, but even that was not enough.

She wanted more!

She wanted a man to look after her and her daughter!

When Alex, her best friend, puts a mail order bride ad in the paper for her seeking a husband from afar, she was livid as she had NOT given her permission to do so.

But when a response came…

Would she travel to the south in hopes of finding true love?

Will she be delighted when she meets him?

Byron, the richest bachelor in Springfield Kansas, was living the life, but he wanted more than this… he wanted to settle down. But he wasn’t finding what he wanted in a wife in any of the women around him.

When he met a scarred and unsure Jane, he was sure he had finally made the right choice.

But there is a problem…

He is unable to bond with her daughter and so he was forced to put an end to their arrangement.

But when Jane met Alan, who so obviously fancied her, will Byron sit by and watch this other man steals the woman he loves?

Will he let her leave?

Was he a man who would stand and fight for what he wanted?

There was only one problem… it may already be too late!!!

"…Follow these two in a twisted tale of securing true love…"

I enjoyed this short read (115 pages). Good, clean romance about a newly widowed mom in search of the right man for a husband and father for her daughter. The first meeting didn't go well for the possible match and her daughter, but there was instant attraction for her. Enter the second possible match. Great read, wish it were longer.
