Overview

MAIL-ORDER BRIDES OF THE WEST is a new Western Historical Romance series created in collaboration by USA Today Bestselling Authors Caroline Fyffe and Debra Holland.

The well-educated daughter of a lawyer, Trudy Bauer, arrives at the St. Louis based Mail-Order Brides of the West agency full of excitement for an adventure of a lifetime. She befriends the agency’s maid, Evie Davenport, and the two form a strong and lasting friendship. They vow to stay in contact through letters when Evie takes hold of her destiny and arranges a marriage on the sly. Each brave young woman is ready to face whatever an unknown groom and life in Montana can throw her way.

In Fyffe’s Novel, house servant Evie Davenport travels by stagecoach to Y Knot, Montana in a McCutcheon Family Novel. In Holland’s book, bride-to-be Trudy Bauer rides the train to Sweetwater Springs, in a Montana Sky Novel. Through their correspondence, the friends keep each other abreast of their hardships, trials and tribulations—some of heartbreak, some of love.

Meet the Author

Caroline Fyffe was born in Waco, Texas, the first of many towns she would call home during her father’s career with the US Air Force. A horse aficionado from an early age, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in communications from California State University-Chico before launching what would become a twenty-year career as an equine photographer. She began writing fiction to pass the time during long days in the show arena, channeling her love of horses and the Old West into a series of Western historicals. Her debut novel, Where the Wind Blows, won the Romance Writers of America’s prestigious Golden Heart Award as well as the Wisconsin RWA’s Write Touch Readers’ Award. She and her husband have two grown sons and live in the Pacific Northwest.

    Sweet

This is a sweet romance, set in a hard time. Caroline' characters are well developed & the story moves right along. I enjoyed catching up on characters from this series. If you are looking for a sweet romance this will be just right.

    **Audible version**

MAIL-ORDER BRIDES OF THE WEST: EVIE by Carolone Fyffe is another awesome Western Historical Romance set in 1880 St. Louis and Y Knot, Montana. #3 in the "A McCutheon Family novel", but is a stand alone. While, I have not read or listened to any of this series so far, I was not lost or disappointed.
This a little over 6 hours of pure delight. Narrated by Lara Asmudson, whose voice is smooth, delightful and easy to listen to for all of those six hours.

Of course, you will enjoy the story of Evie Davenport,mail-order bride, who works for the West Agency, a mail order bride agency. And Chance McCutheon, who wishes to raise a new kind of cattle from France, the first of their kind in Montans.

A Mail-order bride just may find her HEA! This is the story of second chances, finding happiness, and finding your soul mate. A sweet romance with heartache, hardships, trials, tribulations and of course love. A wonderful addition to this series. I intend to go back and obtain the other two in this series. A delightful series for any one who enjoys America Westerns, new beginning, faith and a everlasting kind of love. Loved it and look forward to reading or listening to the next in the series, HEATHER. Well done, both Ms. Fyffe and Asmudson. A great way to spend a few hours of your time, while do relax. Delightful, heartwarming, and intriguing! A must read! Received for an honest review from the author.

The characters in this book are so sweet. They are some of my favorite of all time! I've never read a story about a mail-order bride before. I'm not quite sure what I expected, except I knew I love Caroline Fyffe's books. Chance and Evie are so sincere and have such an amazing desire to make each other happy. It was fun to see them overcome their insecurities and learn to trust and love one another. I was also thrilled to see some of the McCutcheon family again. It makes me want to go back and reread some of the earlier books in this series again. I couldn't put this one down once I started. Now I want to read about Trudy, Evie's best friend in her own mail-order bride story.
