I just finished the book Trudy and cant wait to get the next one. It was a very good book. If you like western romance and mail order brides than this might be one to add to the list. I see there are more books that follow so will be checking them out too. Good luck and happy reading. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Alright, I'm a guy, and will admit that this is the first "Romance" type book I have ever read, which I hoped my friends wouldn't catch me with.
That's how I felt before I read Trudy. Now that I have finished it, I'm telling them about the book and am loaning it out.
I really enjoyed it. Honestly I did.
The authors writing style was a pleasure to breeze through, leaving a clear and precise image in my mind.
One may notice that there was no sex in the book, and to that I say thank you. I felt this may happen through out the book, and it turns into a tease. Just like life itself. The way one would like to believe it was back in the 1800's. The way it should be now.
Her vocabulary to me appeared to be dated accurately, and made the story an interesting read, with an historical flair. And I like Trudy. She is the type of woman any respectable man would want to meet and get to know. I would read this book early in the morning to start my day, and it never failed to put a smile on my face.
Boring and Tedious..........................................................................
Over 400 pages of dull. Flat dialogue. No sex at all not even after a month of marriage. Though they were thinking about it. Endless description of trivia. How he washed his hands. How she bought eggs. No real meat to the story. Save your money.
