This book is a great bargain for any business or organization trying to sell products or services via direct mail. A practical, extremely detailed guide, it leads the reader through every stage of mail order and includes chapters on selling direct using other media. Kremer's many work sheets and record-keeping forms show how to track responses to ads and mailings, how to project break-even points, and how to calculate costs of promotional materials. A comparable book, Cecil C. Hoge's Mail Order Moonlighting ( LJ 2/1/79; 1988. 2d ed.) , covers many similar points but does not have this book's useful charts, letters, and checklists.
