Maisy Goes to Preschool

( 17 )

Overview

Going to preschool is a lot more fun with a friend like Maisy to show you the ropes!

Preschool for Maisy means a day filled with friends and things to do, from the time she hangs her coat on a special peg to the time she says good-bye. There’s painting and snack time, stories and nap time (and a bathroom break in between). Soon everyone’s ready to haul out the instruments and make some noise, then head outside for a turn at the sandbox or slide. In a bright, full-size storybook ...

Editorial Reviews

School Library Journal
PreS—Maisy is confident and acquainted with the routines of preschool. She clearly has no separation issues. She hangs up her coat, joins in making music, listens to a story, and so on. Throughout the day, the young mouse and her friends have a good time. As always, Cousins's bright color illustrations are simple and appealing. The solid black lines around objects help them to stand out on the page, drawing children's attention. Reassuring and fun.—Susan E. Murray, Glendale Public Library, AZ

    a favorite of my granddaughter

My 3 year old granddaughter loves the Maisy books. The characters are fun and by now familiar. She enjoys the flaps and activities like shape searches, and the themes are relevant for her.

Lots of fun to share reading with a child or grandchild!

A Wonderful Addition To The Maisy Series

If you've followed this series of books, you already know how the words and illustrations wrap themselves around your child's mind. This addition to the series is just a wonderful day in the life of a preschooler (Ah, to be there again, sigh). An enchanting tale about a simpler time.

    great first read

My 15 month old loves this book. The colors are bold and story is simple and recognizable. Even though he doesn't go to school yet, the activities Maisy does throughout the book are similar to what he does during the day. He enjoys having the book read to him again and again!
