Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Marilyn Courtot
The activities that Maisy engages in at her school range from those that kids might encounter in nursery school up to those that are more applicable to early elementary grades. There is painting and dress-up with flaps to lift, but then there is math with addition and subtraction problems. The answers are revealed when the tabs are pulled. Maisy writes a story, dances like a ballerina, and takes care of the class fish. Then, promptly at three o'clock, she gets ready to head home. The pictures are like others in the series, fairly simple with black outlines and primary colors. Also in the "Maisy Lift-the-Flap Classic" series are Happy Birthday, Maisy!, Maisy at the Farm, Maisy Goes to the Playground, and Maisy's ABC. Reviewer: Marilyn Courtot
