"Make me, Channing. Make me fall. Push me, shove me, just make sure I get there." I shout at him, taking a step back. His eyes clash with mine. I read the challenge there, making me take another step back.

Paisley Vaughn grew up on the wrong side of the tracks. After finding her mother dead from an overdose, Paisley and her baby sister are shipped off to live with her maternal grandparents.

She always knew they were rich, she just didn't realize how rich they were. Now she's being forced to go to a prestigious high school. One where the tuition is more money then she's ever seen.

Thinking these rich kids are going to be snobbish and rude, she's surprised to find the Vaughn name means she's untouchable. Well unless your name is Channing Southerland.

Paisley has to navigate her new life and all the new people in it. While her mother might have lied about her grandparents, no one is lying about Channing. He's beautiful, mean, arrogant, and turning her on.

Before long a war is fought, leaving Paisley wondering if she'll be ruined or made. Though she might just fall irrevocably in love.

Meet the Author

I live in southern Arkansas with my husband and young daughter. There is also an insane Boston Terrier running around. I've always been a lone wolf and find my friends in books. I started writing at a young age and I haven't stopped since. Most days you can find me either glued to my laptop or my kindle. My first novel, This Beautiful Thing was an Amazon best seller for 11 weeks and a year later I'm still tickled to see people enjoy it. I may not be a huge seller but I have the best fans ever and I thank God everyday for every single one of them.

I was given this book as an ARC for an honest review.  I gave this book 5 stars.  This is Paisley and Channing's story.  Paisley has grown up with nothing, she has to take care of herself and she has to be a mother to her little sister who is just 2 years old. Her mother is a drug addict, they live in a small trailer and sometimes Paisley has gone without even eating while growing up. Her mother has fed her all sorts of lies about her family and why they are not there to help them. She is determined to make it through her last year in high school and then to get a job and take care of her sister BeeBee.  Paisley's mother suddenly dies of an overdose, and this changes Paisley's whole life, she finds out that everything she thought was true is nothing but a lie. She has grown up believing that nobody wants her, but she meets her Grandmother a few hours after her mother has died, and she fills her in to what has really been going on.  Paisley's mom left home and turned her back on a very rich family that has been looking for them for most of Paisley's life. This grandmother now has custody of Paisley and her little sister and takes them to live with her and Paisley meets the rest of her family. Uncles and Cousins a new life, a very rich life that she is not use to.  This is where Channing comes in. Channing is beautiful, mean and arrogant. But she can't help but be attracted to him. To want him. She tries not to, but it doesn't seem to be working out to well for her. She is enrolled in a very rich private school, and she thinks she is going to have to live with a bunch of snobs, but soon finds out that her last name is everything and she is basically untouchable! Except for Channing, who decides he wants to make her life hell. He is such a smart mouth, and shows no emotion.  Just when she thinks she has him figured out, he changes. And becomes something she is not sure she can handle. He becomes sweet, and loving and shows her a side of him that not very many people get to see. Channing believes that Paisley is a spoiled brat only after money, that is until he actually gives her a chance to prove that she is not that at all. Once these two learn that they both had the wrong impression, things change.  “Make me, Channing. Make me fall. Push me, shove me, just make sure I get there.” I shout at him, taking a step back. His eyes clash with mine. I read the challenge there, making me take another step back. He stalks the few steps to me and grabs my arms slamming his forehead down on mine, “I’ll make you.” His lips skim against mine as he continues to speak, “And I’ll be falling right there with you.” She challenges him. She makes him believe that there is a better life.  But after all that both of these two have been through is it enough? Both of them have lived a life that has been unsuitable, a life that nobody should live. Can they get past their demons?  I really enjoyed this book. I honestly have never read anything similar to it, and was so happy to read something that was new to me. Paisley was a tough nut, I understood that after the way she grew up she had to be this way. She may have come off as a little brat at times, BUT I could relate to her 100% and understood why she reacted the way she did. She is such a beautiful person and needs someone to show her how special she is.  Channing I LOVED this man from the moment I met him, IDK he was a little bit of a bad boy. And you could see that he was so much more under the surface. And Paisley could see it in his eyes, she could feel it, and although she fought it at first, she could still see who he really was and what he could really be. I think that is why she would get so frustrated with him, because she knew. Channing is better then this, Channing is more than this. Channing is amazing, how come nobody sees this?  These two are fireworks in the making, and just waiting to explode, and when they do watch out!! It is amazing and breath taking! And once these two are together, I don't even think they knew how much they would need each other!!  This story was spectacular! Thank you Amanda for this beautiful story, about family, love and a second chance on a horrible life. Whether your poor or rich, life sometimes dishes out what you don't deserve, but sometimes fate steps in and you get what you should have had all along, and you realize the reasons you went through what you did in the first place.  I can't wait to read what you have coming up next in this amazing series!! <3

Make Me by Amanda Heath¿ Sometimes you run across a book that turns out to be exactly what you've been looking to find, and that's what I found with Make Me. I was looking for something serious but not too serious, fun yet angsty, with an amazing romance and that's exactly what I found. Paisley and Channing are very deep characters who, alone and together, find the depths of themselves within the pages of this book.  I who they become together. The perfectly complement one another to make each other stronger and an unbreakable unit together.  This is going on my Faves shelf.   5 out of 5 stars for me.

I think this book was written by a child. She didn't seem to grasp the workings of the English language. Ruins it for me when I'm correcting grammar and sentence structure in my head.
