One lie can destroy everything…

After enduring years of manipulation and an immeasurable amount of loss, Charlotte Kelly makes one last ditch effort to change her life and try to find happiness again. She knows she’ll see him when she moves back to Wisconsin. She’s planning on it, the connection she still feels to him after all these years is undeniable. But one lie tore them apart years ago, and she’s afraid some mistakes can’t be forgiven.

Travis Parker doesn’t like liars. When he was younger, lies burned him in a bad way. It only took one summer with Charlotte’s innocence to know that she was it for him. When he thought he finally had something to look forward to, one misguided lie shattered everything he believed. Now, Char’s back, but she’s not the same girl he once knew.

A very entertaining but somewhat sad and depressing book. Every girl dreams of her prince and books like these provide one. I will be reading the next book and soon.

A BIG O' 5 STARS!!!!!!!! Ohhhhh I just don't think I'm going to be able to accurately describe my love for this book. It was incredible. My first by Anna Brooks, but now I'm officially a fan girl, so she won't be able to get rid of me! Travis. Just.......SWOON! How can you not love a man that is so patient, kind, sexy, awesome, incredible, the list could go on and on! And Charlotte. Dang she was dealt a bad hand, but aside from struggling to overcome her past, she is a strong strong woman! I just loved her! The way these two met had me on the edge of my seat, because I knew it was all going to blow up. And of course, it did. But Travis held on. He held on for the both of them. And what you got was an incredible story about a real, soulmate type of love that had me crying, laughing, gasping, hot and swooning. I haven't read a book like this in a long time. The right amount of drama, sex, love and friendship. If you love a dramatic romantic story, this is it for you. I promise, you won't be disappointed!

There are great books out there, and then there are books that you literally cannot put down once you start them. Books that make you skip dinner and and your favorite tv shows. Books that keep you up until 2am when you have to be up by 6. Make Me Forget is one of those books for me. Travis is every woman's dream. His love for Charlotte is what we all long for. The kind that never gives up, never judges and never walks away. I laughed, I cried and was pleasantly surprised by the twists and turns in this book. The author never left me bored and left me wanting more. I cannot wait for more from this author and more in the It's Kind Of Personal series.

WOW!!! A MUST READ!!!!! This book feels more like a reality once you get started and are able to scape into the lives of Charlotte and Travis. The one thing that Travis' hates the most, is the one thing that cause so much trouble with the two! Once you start this book, there is NO way that you will put it down! *Received for an honest review*

Charlotte (love the name) tugged at my heart strings.   She grew up with a loving family, then lost them all and had to figure out how to grow up very quickly at a young age.   She took on a lot and managed to handle it all, until she got taken advantage of and lost it all.   When she returns to Wisconsin and finds Travis again I knew that she would be okay.   But oh my gosh, it was an extremely long road for her.    The struggles she goes through are something no woman or man should have to deal with, yet she shows her strength and her determination.   While struggling to let go of her past, Charlotte finds something much stronger, safer, and wonderful. Travis is a hero.  He is alpha male, firefighter, and a lover.    He knows that if he is to hold on to the love of his life he has to find patience and understanding beyond what a normal person has.   While being with Charlotte is all he wants, he knows that it has to be on her terms, which for an alpha male is almost impossible to handle.    While taking everything thrown at him in stride, I am glad that Anna Brooks let him lose it once in a while and be a real man.   Make Me Forget is a story with two wonderful characters that are absolutely perfect for each other.  They are truly each other’s real love.  I could not stop reading and thinking about this story.    It is a beautiful story, touching on a few tough subjects.   I absolutely recommend this book and cannot wait to read more from Anna Brooks.

LOVED this book. I am so glad there was no cliffhanger at the end. I don't think my heart could have taken it :-) This story is gut and heart wrenching to core. I wanted to beat up people, I cried, and I hurt for the characters. This book is about second chances in life and love after cirucmstances continue to beat and batter Charlotte. I really enjoyed how Travis was written and how he is still hopeful for them in the future. You don't read to many alpha-ish types actually on board from the go like that was refreshing. I liked Charlotte. Sometimes she drove me batty running but with everything she has gone through all her actions and reactions were typical. The little bombshell dropped on Char and Travis could have severly derailed them. His stick it out love is wonderful and not done very often with male leads anymore.
