Overview

New Year’s resolutions have never looked so good.

New Year’s Eve. The party is rockin’, and Claire is in her usual spot holding up the wall. It’s all right. She’s much happier scribbling in her trusty little notebook than mingling. Especially since those notes turn into the sexy erotic romances she pens in secret. Those two gorgeous gods across the room are perfect hero material and…oh dear, are they headed her way?

Mason and Hunter know she won’t remember them as the scrawny geeks they were in high school. She also doesn’t know they’ve been lusting after her for ten long years, waiting for her to meet a man and have a normal relationship. They’re through waiting. The time has come to make their move—and show her exactly how much they’ve changed.

One night in the middle of a Mason/Hunter manwich, and Claire has enough research material to fill a hundred notebooks. Good thing she’s got OfficeMax on speed dial to order more. Except suddenly her two hunks have this crazy idea that keeping her is selfish. Selfish? She may be mousy, but this mouse is about to roar…

Not great, but not horrible either

I'm not sure what the other reviewer is talking about as none of what she mentions actually happened in this book. Perhaps she's confused with another book? Yes, this book is erotica, NOT a traditional romance. I would think that the cover with two guys would have been a big clue. Keep that in mind if you are thinking to purchase.

The story line started off good - a woman who doesn't have a lot of self confidence is the love interest of two guys she used to go to high school with 10 years ago. They hook up at a New Year's Eve party hosted by a mutual friend. The guys have gone from total dweebs to total hotties in the time since they last saw each other.

What I didn't like is that there wasn't a lot of development either with the characters or the story line. The author faltered here, big time. There were many elements left hanging that needed addressed and rounded out to make the story work. I also felt like the ending was rushed - big time. I don't enjoy male lead characters that suddenly go wussy (especially when that's totally opposite of everything else in the story.) and I don't enjoy abrupt endings where "happily ever after" is implied and the reader is left thinking that it's probably anything but happy. Make me believe that these people can actually make this work.

    A Good Read

I really enjoyed the storyline and characters. I wish we could see more of them. I would love a full length book to see where life takes them.

    clearing up confusion

the person making the "little one" comment was talking about "Blackmailed", not this one. so you should probobly re-write that on the CORRECT page.

    Waste of time.

Could not even finish it. Way to shallow.

I did not expect a deep story for 50p but I do expect the action

I did not expect a deep story for 50p but I do expect the action to be well written - unfortunately it was not. Just bc there are 2 men does not automatically make it a hot read. boring, delete.

Open mind or don't even open the book!

I have read the other reviews listed here and have to partially agree with what they say. Yes, there is a lot of sex. Yes, the characters could be a little more developed. Yes, the end, well, just ends. BUT, the story is HOT! Wonderfully descriptive words that make the reader see what's happening. For a short story, I think it is very good. I'd love to see what Annmarie McKenna could do with a full length novel.
