Lewis wants nothing more than to impregnate his woman. The need drives at him day and night, but he is Allie ready to take that step? Little does he know Allie has plans of her own to create a new life with the man she loves.
“Lewis, before you say anything, hear me out, okay? I’ve been giving this a lot of thought—promise me you won’t say anything until I’m done?”
I nodded my head but thought, “Oh, shit.” I wasn’t really sure I wanted to hear whatever it was she had to say. It couldn’t be bad, right?
She moved back a little more, and I didn’t like it at all. There went the gut twisting again.
”I’ve been thinking that maybe I should try picking up some freelance work for a while, and I’ve been thinking about saving up some extra cash.”
I looked into her eyes, and seeing she had more to say, I swallowed my immediate “NO!” reaction and kept my word not to say anything. She already makes decent money working from home, and hey, I’ll admit it, I love the fact she’s there waiting for me when I get home. I love walking in the house to smell something delicious cooking in the kitchen, or to find her all dolled up because she didn’t feel like cooking that day. Now she squeezed my hands tightly, looking more serious than she had in a while.
“Lewis, I want to have our baby. I want to start a family.”
