This collection focuses on the early years of the Patterson family, when Michael and Elizabeth were quite young, April had not yet been born, Ellie was dealing with the stresses of housework, child rearing, and trying to find herself, and John was balancing being a dentist, father, and husband. Almost every page has a commentary from Lynn Johnston giving insight into the story , which I found enjoyable, as she frequently drew on experiences from raising her own children. Anyone who is a fan of For Better or For Worse will enjoy this collection .
