My awareness grew of how we exploit innocent animals

This book really stayed with me. i didn't read it all at once, but I keep referring to it when purchasing everything from deoderant, toothpaste and household cleaners. I have stopped buying from those companies that test on animals and will continue to do so. I think our society loves to keep its head in the sand when it comes to the unpleasantness of life. I'd rather be informed and make my decisions based on my knowledge.

    This book changed my life.

I have never read any books like this before. It really made me stop and consider how oblivious I've been to the unseen cruelty in this world. Not only did I make an immediate conscious decision to stop eating meat, but all the other aspects of my daily living decisions will be thought out more carefully. I would like to leave this earth in better shape then it is now. I wish I could get everyone I know to read this book.

    I love Making Kind Choices

This book is really useful and entertaining. Ingrid Newkirk is an engaging storyteller and a real fountain of information. She doesn¿t simply tell readers to buy humane alternatives to cruel products, she offers a variety of suggestions and gives resources for finding compassionate products and services at the end of each chapter. She provides helpful advice for people of all interests and finances. The chapters are short and entertaining, not at all preachy. This book will make you realize that by doing things to benefit animals and the environment you are also benefiting yourself.

    Hogwash!

This is written by the woman who stated that the life of an ant is equal to the life of a child. She is the founder of PETA, an organization that financially supports ALF and ELF - domestic terrorists. Please think twice before you let your child read her books.

    Choosing kindness over cruelty

If given the choice, I think most people would always pick kindness over cruelty--but many of us don¿t know where to start. Ms. Newkirk¿s wonderful new book shows how easy it is to turn compassion into action--from buying products not tested on animals to trying a mock meat in place of the ¿real thing¿ in a favorite recipe. Even if you can¿t do everything to stop animal suffering, you can do something. This book will inspire you to do several little ¿somethings¿ every single day.
