Overview

Life's changes can be overwhelming. One day, you're conquering the world, and then it hits: Loss of friends. Betrayal. Unexpected delays. Trouble with kids. Marital tension. Ministry needs. Unemployment. Caring for aging loved ones. How do you reconnect the dots and make sense of your life? Anita Carman, founder and president of the ministry Inspire Women, opens the Book of John and studies the disciple Jesus loved, the man who never stopped serving. In Making Sense of Your Life, she uncovers seven principles that will help you tie your own broken dreams and unexpected changes back to the person and purpose of an eternal God. Each principle comes with a week-long devotional for self-reflection or small group study.

Editorial Reviews

Priscilla Shirer
“The book you hold in your hands will refresh you and then empower you to make sense of your life and then get on with the business of living it for the glory of God.”
Gregg Matte
"Anita is a faithful believer and friend who desires to point to Christ in her ministry. She is helping women across the nation to live a life that honors God in the tough times and the good times. In these pages, you will find help to make through the times you want to quit or the times you are just confused on which way to turn. Let her guide you through the book of John so you can see the sun rise on the other side."
Jill Briscoe
What I like most about this book you’re holding is Anita Carman, the author who wrote it. She is a dear friend, colleague and fellow servant, sister in the Lord, a Jesus lover and Glory giver. I like this book because it is uncompromising in its message, summed up in a phrase Anita uses about herself: “God’s mission offers no sabbatical.”
