About the Author

Diane Aronson Cohen was ordained a Conservative rabbi by the Jewish Theological Seminary of America in 1993, where she was twice awarded the commencement prize for outstanding work in theology. She holds a B.A. from UCLA, a B.H.L. and M.A. from the University of Judaism (now American Jewish University), and an M.A. from JTS. She has held a number of congregational positions and is now preparing to be a hospital chaplain. She has published in the areas of ritual, Torah, and prayer, and writes occasionally on a variety of topics at ravdina.blogspot.com.

This booklet is an outgrowth of her work with the conversion Beit Din of the Rabbinical Assembly in Los Angeles.
