Meet the Author

Big E has existed in his current incarnation for almost 39 years and has been an avid Roleplaying, Science Fiction and Fantasy Fan for 28 of them. Currently Big E is second in command of a merry band of game designers, though his "official" tile of President of Black Pigeon Press Inc. really does not do his position justice, nor pay all his bills.
His day job as a utility meter reader allows him to use his coveted map reading and counting to ten skills until his passion of game design fully pays off (hopefully in the near future). His "real" life adventures have included several years as a bouncer and doorman, power-lifting, warehouse work, heavy labor, retail management, owning a game store along with several run ins with officials of the law-enforcement persuasion. His experience in the world of gaming and game design began at the age of ten, when he first discovered the world's most popular role-playing game in its shiny red box, filled with funny dice and cool monsters. Soon he began writing his own adventures after an ill-fated attempt run of the prewritten adventure The Quest for the Heart Stone for his family, a game that ended in the tragedy of his father's dwarf PC being beaten up by his mother's Fighter (who went by the inventive name of "Tang"), because she forgot to buy rations so she ate the dwarf's pony. This began an odyssey of gaming that currently has no end in sight. He has learned, played and ran many a game system until the death of 3.5 when he, along with his hetero life-mate Craig W. Slate founded Black Pigeon Press Inc. and wrote the Hacktastic D/20 Fantasy Game System. He has since written 15 booklet supplements for H/20 Fantasy and numerous game-day/ convention adventures for Black Pigeon Press Inc. and having a fine time at it.
Big E currently resides in Jefferson County Mo. with Ericka, who by the time you read this will be his wife and their two spoiled dogs, He spends most of his time designing game products in his basement and sustaining himself on massive amounts of cigarettes, Diet Mountain Dew and what Ericka considers "Junk Food"! This is his first novel.
