    I Also Recommend:

    A Good but Dense Book

Outside of the Catechism of the Catholic Church, the Theology of the Body is arguably be Pope John Paul II's greatest contribution to the doctrinal life of the Church. It is arguable because he also wrote a great many encyclical and apostolic letters as well. The challenge with this great book, which interprets the human person in light of Scripture, especially the Creation account in the Book of Genesis, is that many sections are awfully dense and hard to get in to. I would recommend this book more for doctoral or graduate level students than for your average reader who simply wants to know what the Theology of the Body is.

Wish I'd seen this thirty years ago

We weren't told about this when I was growing up. It might have changed the way I looked at dating. It certainly would have made me set higher standards.
