A Letter from the Editor

Dear Reader,

Who is the man of your dreams? Is he someone you already know -- a friend, a lover, your husband? Or is he someone you invented and you wish existed? What if your fantasy man suddenly came to life? Four of today's beloved and bestselling writers present their answers to these questions in Man of My Dreams, an original romance anthology that will satisfy every taste. From an alien warrior to a literal dream man, from the perfect stranger to a past -- and future -- lover, these four men embody the dreams and fantasies of the heroines as well as readers everywhere.

New York Times–bestselling author Sherrilyn Kenyon brings readers to a fascinating new alien world where a princess on the run finds the perfect lover -- and champion -- in a battle-scarred warrior weary of life. In New York Times–bestselling author Maggie Shayne's story, a woman must decide if a handsome cop is a dream come to life -- or something out of her worst nightmare. A chance meeting with a charming stranger forces an engaged woman to reevaluate her wedding plans in USA Today–bestselling author Suzanne Forster's story. And reader favorite Virginia Kantra tells the enchanting story of a woman who had loved and lost her perfect lover, only to see him again 14 years later on a moonlit night -- except that he hasn't aged at all...

At times thrilling, funny, touching and sensual but always passionate and romantic, let Man of My Dreams provide you with the man of your dreams, too.

Happy reading,

Cindy Hwang
Senior Editor, Berkley Publishing Group

    Magical fun

4 fun stories of finding the perfect guy. Sherrilyn Kenyon's otherworldly romance has a princess in distress looking for love in all the wrong places so she can get out of an arranged marriage. The man she chooses is a worn-out warrior who no longer believes in love but can't resist playing hero one last time. Maggie Shayne writes a fast-paced romantic suspense with a psychic, a cop, and a serial killer that is packed with steamy love scenes and a lot of action. Suzanne Foster's story is about a decisive beauty who's decided to marry the wrong man and the hunky electrician who wants to change her mind. And finally, my personal favorite, Virginia Kantra's fantasy romance about a sexy biker captured by the faeries and the librarian ex-girlfriend who has one last chance to save him or loose him forever. This is a fun, sexy story about eternal love and second chances. MAN OF MY DREAMS is a great book for anyone who loves to read but doesn't have a lot of time. The stories are fast-paced, sexy, and short. Great fun!

    four fine paranormal novellas

Sherrilyn Kenyon. After five years, Adron still regrets his actions and drowns his sorrow at the Golden Crona rejecting all company. Princess Livia sneaks out of her father's castle seeking a male to deflower her so she would be unfit to marry her sire's choice Clypper. She chooses Adron who surprises himself as she lights a fire inside him. Maggie Shayne. In Pinedale, bakery owner Megan has a vision of the missing woman so she calls Police Chief Skinner. When she is proven right he sends Detective Sam to investigate Megan. Suzanne Forster. In Blanchard's Department Store customer Lucy tries to buy an attaché case for her finicky fiancé Frederick, but someone else beats her to it. Afterward the stranger gives her the case as a wedding present. Not long afterward, she meets him again as Noah owner of Hightower Electric works on her building. When her appliances go batty she asks Noah to help her although she thinks she needs an electrical exorcist instead.--- Virginia Kantra. Wade County librarian Janet travels a remote area in a North Carolina forest when she runs into Rod. He looks just like her beloved Ross who vanished without a word, but shows no aging or physical changes from the man she last saw fourteen years ago.--- These four paranormal novellas share in common the mystic, terrific protagonists, and delightful magical romantic story lines that readers will have trouble putting down once a tale is started.--- Harriet Klausner

    Loved this anthology

Fire and Ice was my favorite - a big Sherrilyn fan.
The others were good but the fourth one was my least favorite. It seemed like it was all just thrown together without the details being worked out.

    Was not impressed at ALL!!!!

I only enjoyed "Shocking Lucy" which is the 3rd out of the 4. It had romance...passion...laughter and a great story. The others I can't say I will miss them.

I enjoyed the 4 novella's in this book. They were well writen by each author. Each story flowed perfectly, and all have in common looking for the 'Man of my Dreams'. I nice introduction to each author if you have never read her books before. Highly enjoyable.
